Even here if you try touch an armed officer's weapon, they're gonna put you down.

Its sort of etiquette not to try wrestle a weapon off someone, they're gonna assume you want to use it on them.
aint that the truth. but it hasnt been made clear that actually happen. i have no idea how they are going to find out what really happen. dont they usually take the officers word over anyone else?

It sounds like a reasonable explanation, the number of shots could be justified by adrenalin, fight or flight style.

However the lack of dash cam is weird and if the officer is lying I hope he's thrown in prison for murder.

Only time will tell but I'm gonna (as usual) give him the presumption of innocence until evidence emerges.

number of shots should be known. not hidden. why is that something they have to keep from us ?

while i somewhat agree i think 9 times is a little excessive. i think that was the count but i know it was more than what have taken to drop someone thats for sure.
but if he did go after the gun then he had it coming if he didnt then that cop needs to fry.
it is very weird there is no dash cam video. that being said it seems like something is afoul here.

If it was 9mm and he hadn't hit a critical spot it could take multiple shots to kill.

Maybe I'm just niave to race relations in the US so I'm missing a part of the puzzle.

A white guy walks into a movie theater and kills a bunch of people, somehow makes it into a police cruiser alive. Now imagine if he was black, unarmed and didn't kill anybody.

most use a 40cal. but even a 9mm will stop you in your tracks. he was a big guy but not bullet proof. obviously

Some of the initial cell phone video was given to/taken by officers on the scene. Also another eye witness has come forward discounting the 'official' story.
