Looking for a chemist that knows a lot about extraction.

Hey guys, I am looking for someone that knows a lot about the extraction process. I am looking to use the extraction in a vaporizer and most of the methods use grain alcohol which is highly flammable. I found a posting that describes using vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol and I just wanted to hear from someone that has done this and could possibly provide me with an accurate and safe method to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to extract the cannabinoids from marijuana and suspend the extraction in a mixture of vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol for use in a vaporizer. I need a process that will ensure an even and consistent finial product.

Well I use the VG and grain alcohol...I use 5ml of VG, 2-1/2ml grain, 1/2 gram qwiso (I don't use butane, nasty IMO) I take a small soup pan filled 3/4s of the way with water, put a screen style strainer on top, so it barely sets in the water, next I use a shot glass to put all that mix into....First, heat the water to a soft boil, then reduce heat, put shot glass with your mix into the strainer so the bottom of the glass is in the water, and stir with a....I use a broken tip of an old knitting needle, but a clean nail would work, anything metal and slick...wait till it dissolves, put it in a e-juice container and you're ready to hit the town with no smell and 1 hit shit...EDIT: I do have to shake my mix before I use it, it tends to try to separate a little, but it's the best recipe I've tried. ANOTHER EDIT: LOL, I did not mention I use a variable voltage Tesla with a 1.3ohm drip tank, and a mechanical mod that's a sub ohm with a .15ohm double coil drip tank sub ohm = hotter burn for vaping...almost like one you plug in

I use PEG400 USP medical/food grade at a 3:1 ratio (peg to bho). I have used BHO and qwiso oil in my vape juice and works flawlessly. I made a huge 75ml batch of it about 3 weeks ago. I sold out last night.

You have to watch it with the PG, I've found some people are allergic to it, and it makes them feel like they are getting bronchitis, so they say...it gives me a "tight" feeling in my chest, I do know that..........and damn 75ml I'd be stoned for months

thanks for the heads up. I haven't heard anything but raves about it from my patients. PEG400 (from my findings) is in countless make-ups, medicines, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, foods, ect.

Damn, and You said Butane is nasty but That look's like a Lung Cookie, After You get used to working with BHO there is no waste or Mess.I don't even get slightly sticky finger's anymore....

Haha, that's wax my man, and it taste way better than any BHO I've ever smoked, and that's what I was talking about, but to each his own. I don't have the stuff to make BHO either, and I can get about a gram of wax from a 1/4 of bud, and now that I'm used to the qwizo, there's no mess or waste from it either.

Or make QWISO oil in 25minutes and mix it in some PG and warm it through in a double boiler setup like RIK mentioned and be hitting that shit in next to no time.

That's what I'm planning to do.

I make qwiso or rso and then mix with PG. Voila! I go about 50-50.

Dual coil tanks seem to work a bit better for me.

I would advise to stick to propylene glycol PG and/or vegetable glycerin VG labeled as USP or pharma grade. PEG, polyethylene glycol, can contain diethylene glycol (DEG), which is known to be poisonous to humans, even in small amounts.

I'm not a chemist or expert, but I'm heavily involved in the vaping community and have come across the concern with DEG many times.
