well,i might try dusting my soil nxt yr. i usually just let the microbeasties in my tea do all of the work as i really dont rely on my teas to feed just to innoculate the soil with beasties from my homemade compost .
Good organic soil + myco fungi + teas = your grows on autopilot!

They myco fungi actually have to come in contact with living roots to take hold. They won't grow just in soil alone which is why dusting at transplant works so well.

Week 19 - Flower Week 3

Pic 2 - Chocolope Haze - please stop stretching.
Pic 3 - Kosher Kush foreground, Green Crack background
Pic 4 - Mekong High baby buds
Pic 5 - New fountain under construction. Plan to build new addition around this rock if I can rig up a water catch system across bottom.

Buds coming in slow this season but stems are now getting sticky. Have had very few sunny days this summer so it is what it is. Some yellow leaves on all 3 smart pot girls so gave them some 5-5-5 organic, 2-4-1 fish emulsion, and big bloom. Girls in the bays don't need anything because they have much more dirt. More tea next week. Azamax and Actinovate soil drench tonight or tomorrow morning, no more spraying unless I get an outbreak of something.

All 6 now in flowering. Took my little runt Acapulco Gold down (indoors) when Tora Bora started flowering early this week. My AG won't yield much more than a couple zips, but looking forward to trying something new. She never got her legs and was a cal/mag whore in flowering. 90% cloudy, 10% clear, but had to go.

Hey pink, no pain at all. I forgot to bring a measuring device with me so I just estimated on nutes. My yellow leaves are all low and interior so I just gave them a little more food. Most leaves are still shiny. I have two veggie spikes and two flowering spikes already on each plant. I did about three tbs of 5-5-5 per plant and mixed up 5 gallons of water with about 2 cups of big bloom and 5 tbs of the fish fert. This was given to the three plants and then watered in with another gallon or so per plant. A relatively light feed for the pot size. Just trying to slow down yellowing and not much more.

I will post on the azamax and actinovate tomorrow as my notes are in the gh and I'm crashing for the night. Good night!

Azamax applied at 1.5 oz per 5 gallons water because that was what I had left. Actinovate applied at same time in same water at 1 TBS per gallon, twice recommended dosage. I am not at all sure if these two can be applied together, the Azamax may wipe out the Actinovate for all I know. But that is what I did. I apply the Actinovate heavier because you can't overdo it, no risk of over application per the company. My Big Bloom application may have been closer to 1.5 cups per 5 gallon as I was shooting for about 1/4 cup per gallon.

My philosophy on adding nutrients in flower is mainly to add in small increments because you can always add more at next feeding and to keep my NPK in very low numbers. I would rather be a little deficient of something than overfeed.

if that fountain is above the green house there is your water supply .
That would be cool...but this fountain will have to be filled from my rainwater supply and will get a little bit of algicide applied every now and then so afraid it won't get used for plants, just atmosphere.

Bugeye, how often/how much do you water your big plants with? Looking good as always!
Thanks! I haven't watered the girls in the bays for 3 weeks now, except for teas and Azamax/Actinovate soil drenches. They have access to the wick system 18" below surface and that seems to be meeting their needs. I haven't filled the wick tubes since mid-July. The girls in the 60 gallon smart pots are getting watered nearly every day now, yesterday that got hit twice with warm sunny weather that FINALLY showed up. They did not need water this morning but probably will want some by mid-afternoon. So I have no set schedule, just going off my moisture meter and what the plants are telling me they want.

Thanks Noobie! I think I'll end up with some nice buds but probably not the density I'd like. Just too many cloudy and rainy days this summer. My Mekong High is setting up to put out shitloads of small airy buds that are going to be a pain to trim. Last time I had one like this I made hash out of it all. I'm just not set up for sativas but still keep trying!

Week 20 - Flower Week 4

week 20a.jpg week 20b.jpg week 20c.jpg week 20d.jpg week 20e.jpg week 20f.jpg week 20g.jpg

Overcast this morning with rain expected shortly, heavy at times through the night. Chocolope Kush starting to throw off some aroma. I can smell a little chocolate and rasberry in the bouquet. Would I smell chocolate if I didn't know the name of the strain? I don't know.

Pic 4 - Green Crack buds
Pic 5 - Just for pinkjackyle - See? I got some yellow, lol. Mekong High still yellowing up interior fan leaves. Did an application of 3 tsps blood meal, 3 tsps 9-3-1 guano, and 3 tsps feather meal followed the next day by an AACT application with more balanced nutes. Will now just watch her for a few days and see what happens.
Pic 6 - Cleared a bunch of scrub oak trees away to open up back of greenhouse for possible expansion plans.
Piic 7 - Proof of concept testing on the new fountain, seems to work. Plan would be to build the greenhouse expansion around this.
