ARE THERE ANY EXPERIENCED SOIL GROWERS WHO USES NUTES?

U can use any nutrients you want just go half strength... chemical nutrients get taken up quicker because organics is all about live soil that has to break the nutrient materials down into something the plants can consume ..Imo it's not really something to argue over there's not really a drastic differency it's like eating all kinds of vegetables or drinking a v8 sure the v8 is not natural....but it still has all the nutrition. That The RAW Fruit does....The Salt In The Chemical ferts Can Cause A Lookout But If You Flush PROPERLY . U will be fine...it's a personal preference type thing!
You just taught me something new. Man this is what im talking about. What you said makes a great deal of sense. Sometimes our own opinions may be right but not to a proper level of right that may be needed or is enough knowledge to apply for better transition. What you said was what i already knew... You know how you watch a good movie and you dont realize you've missed something about the movie after you've watched again... It gave me confirmation and knowledge to add to my wisdom.:peace:

I had a couple extra plants left over in small containers after I put the keepers in big pots, so i used them to do a little experimenting and one thing I noticed is that, soil web or not, with plants that have outgrown their pots, it seems to me that sometimes there isn't enough soil and microbial activity to break down organics rapidly. I had three plants that had outgrown their pots and were all pretty identical. On one of them I stayed organic, and on the other two I started feeding with Veg+Bloom Dirty (A chemical fert designed for soil) and the difference is crazy now, the organic one is still very small while the chem fed ones are exploding. It is worth noting however, that I also have plants in larger pots that haven't outgrown the pots and become root bound, some of which are organic and some of which have been fed with the Veg+Bloom Dirty, and in the plants that have large pots, I see no difference in size or vigour between the organics and chem fed. So maybe in plants that have become root bound, when there is very little soil left in the pot and it's mainly just roots, chem can provide the nutes in an form that the rootbound mass can easily absorb while organics fail to be broken down and utilized due to the lack of soil and soil web microbial activity. Wow I really had trouble keeping that concise, my bad. I can post pictures tomorrow when the sun comes up if anyone wants to see that I mean.
Excellent word bro! And yea you can post those pics theyd implement alot.:peace:

Those concerned with 'growing' the plant as quick as they can will use nuted salts, those who want to 'care' for the plant will 'amend' their medium...in my growing education(we all have one) I started in Organics and went to salts then DWC..now after 40 plus years I am now all organic, its the business of being concerned more with the soils than plants itself...the easiest way to get into this is make your own teas, simply go to your local Chinese health food store and get a bag of sushi sea weed, at home cut it up ,...add to a bottle of water...leave for 2 weeks in a warm place ...there you just saved $12.00 on a bottle of kelp ...lol

Honestly, i've used FFOF with FF Grow Big liquid nuets starting 3rd week after any transplant with great success on many strains and a couple hundred plants in the past few years without a single burn and along with the bat guano contained in FFOF soil I still add more mexican bat guano (diluted) at every watering and feeding and still never a single burn issue ever and I still use this method to this day. My plants grow perfectly healthy in every way every time.
]
Not sure if this method will work for other growers though.
I add 1 tblsp of Mex bat guano (10-1-1) to 1 gal water then 1 cup of this to every gal of water used during watering and liquid neut feeding.

yeah i think what i said could be taken out of context.

If you have no experience with feeding a plant it would be easier for them to burn their plants.

Glad you have no problems ;) lol.

If ur plant looks hungry, feed it... Regardless if its soil, coco or hydro.
Funny that you say that... I go to tend to the girls yesterday, im like heeey girls how are you ladies doing? I didnt get a reply...lol They just sat there like how does it look like were doing? And they looked thirsty as a dry mouth mule....lol So i gave them a nice drink medium run off with a few grams of 3-4-6 pf. They've perked up good today but they were like dont expect us to tip you other than to be on time when watering your plants. It left me looking like this at them.....:o

Yea elder, i just learned today that its all about the soil. Which is a good thing i needed because ive found myself being called by a whisper (intrigued) to start learning how to make my own recipe. Because i am one who loves the plant. Lets just say im not in it for the money. And in my 36 years its too late for me to be trying to be without humilty...lol The soil.....:peace:

Here we go. All three of these plants were pretty much identical about two weeks ago when I switched the two on the outsides to chem. The one in the middle is still organic.

And with THESE three, the two on the right are organic and the one on the left is Chem. It is also worth noting that the one on the left also has water crystals mixed into the soil, and was already doing substantially better than the plants in the larger containers even before I switched it to chem, so another piece of info is that water crystals are pretty amazing.

Before it seems like I am coming down on the side of chems, let me add that my BEST plant, this one, is all organic, my personal version of organic super soil, and has only been fed water since planting.

Very nice ace....and yes I've been using water crystals since about '98, look close at the packet you see they are made from silicon/silicate as such I've never had any broken or bent branches and have giving up using mesh on my outdoor grows as the silicate offers superb resistance to breaks in the stem ...lol
I can only assume you have these plants under cfl/T8? for being so lanky that you intend to finish them off outdoors?

Not at all, they been outside their whole life (After sprouting on windowsil), they started stretching and shedding lower sets of leaves as soon as they outgrew their "pots". As you can see, the organic one is still doing it (notice how it's lowest fan leaves are dying while the others are actually shooting new growth lower and lower down the previously bare stem). Also, silica based water crystals would be a great idea, mine are actually Polyacrylamide, not silica, but I'll keep my eye out for them.
