This is my first year growing outside in ground/soil and I not sure how much or how long I need to be flushing for before harvest...
My plants on average are 6 feet tall and anywhere from 3 to 6 feet wide. The holes I dug for them are 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide
Using Dadga Lord of the Fields time release nute/fert Grow 22-17-12 and Bloom 7-21-23
They have been in flower for 2 months some a little bit longer so im sure i ready to start
flushing
Any help/advice/tips would be greatly appreciated where im looking to harvest within the next couple weeks
also am planning on harvesting the top half of each plant when each is ready giving the bottom half of each plant more time with more light to mature/ripen.
I have been using/adding molasses every few waterings. Don't know if i should stop during flushing or if that doesn't matter/effect anything again any help/advice on any of this would be greatly appreciated Thanks again

ahh, to flush or not to flush debate, some believe it's not necessary, others will jump in on this
Haha I know all the researching/feedback I been getting is 50/50 its why im hoping to talk to some people on here and see what feedback i get. Preferably would love to hear from someone who has tested both methods and has an opinion based on their own experience. but any advice/info will be appreciated :bigjoint:
Whats your opinion on the matter ?

Unless you have used synthetic nutes and believe you have a toxic salt build up that will kill your plants before harvest, I see no reason to flush them. I'm no longer a believer in flushing to improve taste, only as a last resort to fix a mega-screw up. If organic, no reason at all to flush. In the ground, almost no way too flush without doing harm to your plant.

I flushed to improve flavor before I learned how to cure properly. Am told, and I believe, that a good cure is really more important. Good luck!

but don't believe I have any issues with toxic salt build up.
I also heard that about curing and which I plan to cure all my bud for a good month/longer before smoking I think il be fine without flushing. Thanks for your time

Mine are outside in about the same size holes. They aren't even close to harvest just starting to flower. Without looking at a picture I would have to say the same for you. If your plants look good don't flush. fertilizer salts and synthetics are usually the very reason people have to flush. Send me a pic if your not sure.

All good points so far ray ray. last two weeks I give them this
with just plain water but I dont think they are even close yet. I would give them until october in the northern hemisphere. I like the raw sugar over molasses btw. imagine your buds 80% smaller than what they are now thats what they will be like dry. Im not harvesting until they are as big as my arm or until the snow flies. I have a green house covering mine though so i get a slightly extended season.

I started from girls seed on April 20th 4:20 So my girls deff still have couple weeks if not more left of flowering which is why I was trying to get some flushing advice a head of time before I decided if I was going to attempt the method or not. but my plants look good so I not going to bother flushing.
I also have just received my 100x zoom l.e.d microscope in mail to inspect trichromes so I will know exactly when I want to start to harvest each plant.

Whatever you have in the soil will contribute to flavor in an organic setting and even synthetics (to a point).
It is also good to give multiple sources of NPK.You would get tired of always getting Vitamin C from OJ only. Ya feel me.
