Which online sites do you use when you need a bit of inspiration or just a plain and simple cake recipe?

I was in a shop earlier with a friend. It's international and they had everything to cook with. A whole shelf of flavourings like butterscotch, mint, cafe, pineapple, vanilla essence etc.

I bought a 30 page Brownie recipe book in a Spanish shop last week. Need some more ideas please. :)

I tend to look at allrecipes.com when in need of a little inspiration. Most of it is just user recipes meaning they tend not to get too advanced both in technique and ingredients. If I want to get tricky, then that's what my cookbooks are for.

Are you looking for recipes or sites?

If recipes, savory or sweet?
Well, tbh I was bored of the UK BBC food website so I decided it'd be interesting to see what sites are used across the pond. Especially American brownies and cookies etc.

My friend today said she wanted to make a bannoffee pie. I've made a chicken bacon and mushroom pie and tomorrow I need to make a big lasagna.

I like baking sweet things. Not interested in anything diet or low fat. :)

Any recipes you guys want to add or recommend will be greatly appreciated.

When searching for a recipe I always put "best" at the beginning. Also helpful to read the comments/ reviews. "best angel food cake recipe" for example.

fuck now I want angel food cake with whip cream and strawberries. Like grandma or mom would serve..
