Equipment

Tamisium extractor closed loop system with 99.5 n-butane
5 gallon purging chamber ( hopping to get a oven by xmass )
5 cfm 2 stage pump
scientific hot plate

I do hot water and ice for a quick extraction. I can elaborate if needed

Basically I want to make sure I'm purging the best way I possibly can. since im not recovering a 100% of the gasses
I spread everything on a parchment paper sometimes kind thick 1/4 inch+ I then place it in the purger and trying to keep oil right around 100 f and create a vacuum. I turn the pump off after about 15 minutes and hold in the vacuum I turn it on again every few hours although its still holding the vacuum. after about 36 hours I call it done. It has a nice budder like texture to it

It comes out very nice some of the best stuff I've ever tried but that doesn't mean it cant be improved upon.

also any info on a vacuum oven would be great are they worth it/ what's the best one. probably be looking at the 1.9 cf units

1/4" is too thick.

As lio lacidem stated, 115f.

Not sure if your water bath procedure is kosher as no temps were reported.

Older material can cause a budder like consistency due to decarboxylation and terpene loss that occured during cure.

my material is under 2 weeks old
I heat my reclaim unit in 110 water and place collection chamber in ice bath when I then after I attach the reclaim to start extraction I open the valve real slow then I take a towel and soak it in the hot water and wrap that around the top of the reclaim unit.
The only vacuum I put on it is the one created by the hot vs. cold temperature

I do get shatter but I keep it in longer until it gets to were I can crumble it

I just noticed that im a dumb ass my hot plate reads in Celsius so at a 100c my oil temp was about 120 f its cooking right now lol ill have to take a picture later tonight

yea but by the time it heats the chamber and heats the nonstick plate the temperature of the actual oil is 115-120 f

Do you have an ir thermometer? If i set my skillet to 150° an use sand for insulation my chamber usually reads 130° when my oil reaches 115°?

yes 2 of them
my hot plate is smaller than my pan and its in a 65 deg room so probably just has work a little harder
