Scales are gross, are you near any citrus ? I got scales on my first grow. It was on the plant nearest the neighbors lemon tree. I spray her trees now when I spray for insects... her tree is healthy and I don't get scales.

yes thats scale and not slugs.....I dont know how far along your plants are....but horticulture oil will stop them...there are a few good products out for scale...get them now as in veg now....i think some of the insecticidal soaps kill scale also

Azamax most definitely will Knock the SHITE out of scale; however, it will take at least an application or two over the course of
7 days. This stuff is anti-feedant, if you start out with this you will succeed in keeping pests off of your plant. I discovered its
usefulness because of Mealy/Scale bugs...it really works but you must know prevention is better than cure. I want to go with
Azasol next but they want $460 for 3/4 oz, not including tax! Azamax I have been using for 5 years, dont see bugs hanging
out on any plants, I dont like the rush to use thing, it goes anaerobic within the day you mix (only peeve I have). Hope this helps.

You can buy copper tape. It's a sticky foil and I swear by it for outdoor growing. Wrap it all the way around your container or grow bag and the slugs won't cross it. Be sure to dig up the soil on the inside of your bucket after you do this just to make darn sure they're not still in there under the soil as I have found many of those bastards doing exactly that - hiding under the soil a few inches down. The copper foil works and you can order it from amazon if you can't find it locally.
