Ok so one thing my bro explained to me is that GFCI has to stay on top of breaker box slots. And I only have one empty breaker slot, I need to lose a breaker somewhere to free up space for a double pull 100 amp breaker which is what runs to the sub panel. So basically I need to move all my breakers to free up a slot.

Ive done some electrical work myself. But i am limited at this point and I am hoping to learn and share what I learn, hopefully without burning the house down. I know snaps if you need it to be dumbed down you probably shouldnt mess with it in the first place. But thats not me Im the stoned DIY guy. My only choice is to learn
One mistake is a ticket to instant death, property loss and or incarceration.

There is so much more to the trade than meets the eye.

Even a great electrician's work need be inspected.

Just so happens, I'm a licensed Master Electrician. Mostly commercial work history as a Journeyman.
Thats bad ass snaps. Your living my dream. I was told about 8 years ago if you want to make a killing in this game, become a licensed electrician and move to Colorado and earn your trust and you will be successful!

Yah, its another story when you dive into electricity imo. Some understand it better than others naturally. Its no game.

My old house almost burned down b/c of an outlet i wasnt using, but on same breaker in other room. Like 500w veg shit. 24hr albeit, but I come out of flower room one day and notice the socket had a brown spot, I went to touch it and burned my fuckn finger.. Wall above it was fuckn hot. Like shits gonna ignite.. flipped and wigged. Hahaha. started flippin breakers.. turn off right breaker, let it cool. Checked it out. All melted and stupid close to starting a fire.
Cant believe i saw it in time. Woulda burned that piece of shit growhouse to the ground. Lol

Yeah I lived through some stupid assed apprectice mistakes. Even being educated, there is margin for error. Only survival to retirement age earns a merit badge lol

And there is no room for conduit obviously that i can run through the hole with the preexisting wires, but we are just going up about 10ft. The breaker box is in the garage and we are using the game room above. So i was planning on just cutting a hole in the breaker box and running the conduit right through the floor. What Im saying is that being in code is the least of my problems. However Im going to do whatever I need to do to keep it safe and as close to perfect as possible

Right. Making a mistake as an electrician can be your life. Its a career that deserves credit for sure. If you understand it, cool. If not dont do it. There is no half assing it with 240v/100a. Sounds like you got a plan though.

Why not buy a 12 light box, 110v trigger on the timer?

That would have made way more sense. My brother even said "you could have just got a light box". I asked him "WTF did you not say anything to me". Lol he said dude "your the one that ran a hydroshop". But, I never had anyone buy those, and i was kinda dumbfounded for a second. I guess that would maybe still be the best way to go. I can return everything but the wire and get my money back. But I couldnt run a minisplit off one of those. And maybe building my own panel would give me customizable options. So im kinda unsure what to do at this point. Im going to sleep on it tonight and watch some youtube videos.and hopefully learn some more

Pulled wire THRU Conduit, and bam could not walk tore all my muscles in legs.
1-2 yr with the attitude u have.Lucky for me the breaker tripped a 60 amp!

My dumbass broke num1 rule trust someone with your life.
I always check with a meter even 24v. less than a amp can kill ya.

Good point. Id like to do 24 600's in future off a 200a main. Gona get necessary re wiring from pole. Its close to a 10kw room as far as whole setup. Just gonna take precautions since law enforcement is liable to inspect. That'll be a ball.

You actually suffer from two problems.
1) You fucked up.
2) You came here for help.

Lol, how did I fuck up? And yes its a nice house, I've been blessed with good friends. We are active with Norml and I have lawyers backing me. I just ran a hydrostore and met the right people at the right time. I hope we go medical by 2015, maybe if Wendy Davis wins, who knows. Lol. I think we got a good chance.
