So large percentages of Americans should never have children? Sounds like a fucked up country to me.
Noone is stopping them making something better of their lives.

I'm not gonna argue about the USA being a fucked up country tough ;) you just have to read any thread in the politics section to realise it will always be fucked up.

If you can't afford something, why would you buy it. If you can't afford to raise children, why would you have them. Hey, I can't afford dog food, but I'm gonna get a dog and then just claim its the governments fault my dog is hungry. They should give me free food. Clearly you dont accept the notion of being a responsible adult. If you have kids when you can't afford them, and cry that its the governments fault, then you are nothing but a completely selfish cunt

Once again politicians are idiots. It's not the unemployed that are a problem in this country it is the underemployed and the under compensated. Large percentages of welfare recipients work (all the ones I knew growing up). They just can't support a family on the bullshit they get paid. Want to stop welfare? Pay better.
You got that backwards.
Want to stop being poor, quit spitting out babies until you can afford a good life for them , don't think you're going to support a family by working at Burger King, get your lazy ass off the government teat and work for a living..

Ive always been taught not to create a family if you can't support it. I have no respect for people who bring children into this world knowing that with their job they can't pay for them. But yeah, all the employers fault for not paying enough, nothing to do with the irresponsible employee. Lets legislate a higher wage so those idiots can support the family they knew they could never support to begin with. Maybe I should buy that shiny new audi on credit then cry that its my bosses fault when it gets taken away from me because I can't actually make the credit payments.
Do you feel the same way about people working multiple jobs and still can't afford to support themselves without relying on government assistance?

So we're all in agreement that America is not a place that one can have a child while working at a job? Only certain jobs, right? I just want to make sure we're on the same page.

You should probably read your shit before you post it. You just confirmed what I said.

That's where we would disagree. The political structure is actively stopping people from making something better of their lives, being a minority alone is a consequence that is out of your control that is actively stopping people from making something better of their lives.

Do you believe everyone is given the exact same opportunities in life?

most people would argue having a child is a basic human right like breathing and not being murdered. It has no relation to buying cars or dogs.

stupid people on low wages may spawn other stupid people
apple does not fall far from the tree

if you are telling these folk not to reproduce
eventually we may end up with a shortage of stupid people willing to work in McDonalds , clean toilets etc

bottom line is, we need stupid people because there are not enough polish people to do all the jobs
let them breed but control it on farms and plantations

If someone cannot support just themselves when working a full time job, let alone multiple jobs, then I call utter bullshit. I happily lived on 50 pounds a week for all food and bills.

Give me some figures. How much would multiple jobs pay, how much is rent in a shit hole shared house.

Yeah, having a child is a right, having the finance to support them is not. So again, of you cannot afford a child, yet you bring one up anyways because its your right, but can't afford to pay for it, how are you anything but a selfish cunt? That would be assuming your right to a child is more important than giving him a real upbringing.

How can you be this irresponsible? Or do you give that little of a shut about the child so long as you can excessive your right to the child?

Minimum wage in the state of Georgia is $5.15. That's $824 a month working full time (before witholding). Why do we allow people to be paid that little? Because the government will make up the difference that's why. You're missing the forest for the trees. People want to work and support their family. They can't.

At one time this country was booming..we had so much manufacturing here...every one lived comfortable with in thier means....mom an pop stores were thriving..farmers were making ends meet and surplus for the next year....welfare was low...

then around the 80's shit hit the fan....CEO's got greedy and started outsourceing..moving to other countries...so industry died here....lost alot of steel mills...now its chinese steel...lost all the electronic industry..it use to be Japan good..now its all chinese goods...

construction was at a all time high then..now its slower than molasses on a cold day...

and most that are unemployed now are mostly professional or in building trades....and todays job wages are dictated on the amount of people out of work..its flooded with unemployed people so companies can set the rate of the job..(low)...

we are a service country now..not a industrial....jobs today are wal mart..Mc donalds...stuff like that...when you see 2 and 4 year colledge grads working wal mart ..lowes something is wrong here....

Then they should get a better job. Everyone else who requires more money for their lifestyle seems to have no issue doing so. Maybe they're just too stupid to get more than minimum wage. Why do you feel others should pay for someone else's shortfallings? I'm too stupid right now to buy a 10 bedroom house for my 10 kids, why am I not the one to blame for that?

I earnt 150 a week, rent was 100 a week, bills not included (other than council tax). I just spent frugally, very frugally. I still managed. Never even had to sell a gram of my weed.

People have absolutely no excuse for trying to live outside of their means. I didn't buy a cat because I couldn't feed a cat, I didn't buy fillet steak because I couldn't afford fillet steak. But texasjoker here thinks that just because he can't afford something, it should be given to him, because he's too stupid to earn enough to afford what he wants. My credit card tells me its my right to buy whatever I want no matter my income so long as its within my credit limit. my bills however still demand that I pay for it. He's basically a ficking retard. Common sense 101, if you can't afford it, you can't afford it. He believes the government should pay for whatever he wants because he's too stupid to be able to buy them himself.

Read my response again, you're the one who is off base.
You and i are not even close to being on the same page, I don't even think we are reading the same book.

:
Oh, and define fill time. As in refuse to work more than 40 hours a week? Then work harder you pusssy. I was doing 260 a month to make ends meet. Why? Because I had bills to pay. Of I wanted to work less, id consume less, spend less.

I just did a quick search and in Los Angeles, a single room for rent ranges between $435-$800, $650 being about average, bills not included

Food for one person @ $3/meal (stupid cheap, especially in LA) = $270/mo, call it $250, that's white rice, ramen, that type of shit..

I'd say phone and internet are probably a necessity these days - $10/mo phone bill, $15/mo internet (lowest packages)

Auto repair/insurance - $46.23 Basic, $103.90 Standard, $114.90 Premium, Repairs on a 10 year old car, call it $50/mo

Gas - @$3.78/gallon = $60/tank = 480 miles, fill up twice a month that's $120/mo (extremely conservative estimate, most people I know fill up at least 3 times a month)

$435 + $250 + $25 + $46.23 + $50 + $120 = $976.23/mo

CA minimum wage = $9/hour @ 40 hours = $360/week = $1,440/mo before taxes. Taxes = roughly 1/5 if you're single with no dependents = $1,160/mo

$1,160 - $$976.23 = $183.77 is what you're left with at the end of the month using that extremely conservative estimate

This person is living in one room, eating ramen and rice, with no cable, the slowest most basic phone and internet package (estimate didn't include the cost of the phone), rarely driving anywhere other than to and from work, and has no kids to support, and works full time @ 40 hours/week
