A-51 growers thread

So I finally saved enough coin to buy my first led. And thanks to you guys, its an area51 rw-150. Hopefully this thread can be a place to show off what you are doing with your led lights. I think I have caught the led bug, I have only had my rw two days and already I am obsessing over how I can afford a couple more unit to replace a couple 400w hid lights, but I will be patient, ahhh, goosefabbba, ok im better. I am really impressed with my light so far. I will post a pic and show off a little to get things rolling.

Heres my new light! And two seedism taste bud clones along with fresh seedling, some up, some about to be. Sad to say all the seeds I am running right now are from an order from that barneys farm promo I fell for. So far two of the freebies germinated but failed to come up and two that came up seem like they are runts but the critical kush seeds (thats the pack I bough with the promo) all seem normal. Just to give you a little background, im relatively new grower, since last october and learning quick. My last grow under 1000w total of hid, all organic with teas and super soil yielded 20+oz from 4 autos in 15 gal fabric pots. So I was pretty happy with that but I know I could have done better.

Heres a show from my flower tent, all hid right now but am really hoping to replace these 400w mh with the rw150 or better when a-51 makes some newer models. Oh btw the flower tent is all seedism taste bud, from seed so just different phenos for sure.

Decent unit - I'd bring it down a few feet closer to the plant if possible but maybe others would suggest the opposite with this particular brand and unit

Thanks I never even bothered to think about distance. I like to grow up to my hid lights and ussually leave a good distance when I start under a mh bulb. And finish pretty close if you check the flower room, those have a ways to go, switched to 12/12 aug 24th, and taste bud goes 9 weeks easy.

I dig the A51 lights, I have two 160s that I flower with and a 190 I use for veg...straight up legit shit.

OS -those are very healthy looking plants. The LED's you mention, are those A51 models as well or are they of a different brand?

I have two 190s. Just finished my first run with them. This is the start of the second. Very pleased with them!

I knew there were more a51s out there than most of what I was seeing brousing thru the led section. Cant hardly wait to finish a grow using the rw150. Curious what the yield will be like compared to what I have used for lights in the past. I imagine since the light covers a 2x3 that achieving 1g per watt should be a cake walk. But first I have to decide what I want to do to flower underneath it. Here is what im thinking. I popped a pack of critical kush and a couple other freebies. So I will do a dual light source grow, the cab is 3x5x7, the rw150 will cover one half and a 400w mh for veg and switch to hps for flower to cover the other side. It will be 6 best plants from the seeds im starting about, veg until I fill a screen and bam things will get interesting. This should give me an idea if these lights are powerful enough to replace my 400w digi ballast.

I run two RW-75s in a 2.5x2.5 tent, pulled 3 ounces off a cheese clone that I scrogged. Buds are very dense, compares equally to the density I pulled off the same cut under 400W HPS. I also yielded more off this plant then I ever did with HPS (was pulling 2 ounces per plant under HPS) but I should mention I didn't SCRoG the HPS grows.

In most cases, relating to LED's, 2x lights are better than 1x. I believe 2x of your RW150's will surpass the HPS in both results and performance. I've never used HPS for growing but based on BDOGKush's post, personal experience, and doing countless equations in my head (thanks calculus), the A51's should leave you in awe.

Definitely a 400 watt replacement. Quality of bud is impressive too.

I'm not familiar with the older versions of Area 51 models - I never used any of em'. They seem to get the job done though based off of CaptainMorgan's photos.

First run with just an xgs 190 pulled ~6.5oz, first run with xgs and rw-150 got ~12oz, last run using both ended up with a little over a pound. Pretty damn impressive in my book for ~345w or so at the wall.

A GFS 190? HPS? lol or the A51 XGS 190?

Based on the lighting scheme offered from the XGS and RW, I'd guess the RW (Red/White) would provide higher weighted yields due to the direct reds. Those are superb results IMO & FME.
