Yeah, I would try a stealth dry in the woods, depending on where you are and the weather. If you try to dry right in the jar you'll probably get screwed. Besides, you'd have to leave the jars open and continually rotate the buds from top to bottom and that's going to stink too. Better to a get a proper dry first.

Did you grow them outdoors? Just thinking of why odor control is an issue now.

yeah they were grown outdoors, far off in the woods though cause live in the country in nova scotia, stink in the house would get the wife mad aha, think hanging it in the woods from trees would work in a secluded area or think animals would get at it and prob get wrecked, and would have to be not rainy or too cold

Dont throw em in jars wet man, thats asking for mold to develop. Whatever you do, remember the drying and curing are critical components of the final product.

As long as rippers aren't a problem you could probably do pretty good outdoors. Like you say, something to keep the weather off of them and allow air to flow. You'll only need a few days with decent conditions.

Get a small deep chest freezer, cure them three days out doors and then move into boxes into freezer..don't jostle too much when frozen until it thaws.

Yes put the wet buds in the jars. Buds are like %75 water and mold absolutely hates wet environments, absolutely nothing bad will happen.

You can try outdoor but if it rains you're screwed. Build yourself a dryer, google it, I think I saw one in the DIY thread here as well. Basically a large tub/rubbermaid container, throw a couple of screens in to get 2-3 levels, cut/hook up a fan to circulate air and an exhaust through a carbon filter.

Check out this dry box I made. It's cheap and simple. Has a carbon filter too. Smell is very minimal and with small air freshener you'd be good to go.https://www.rollitup.org/t/my-2-system-diy-dry-box-with-odor-control.835901/#post-10662352

If you cant dry them properly then cover them and hope for the best. Next year have a box ready to go. Also you could freeze them and do small amounts but not the best way. Good luck!
