Soil Vs Hydro

This is exactly analogous to a commercial baby formula versus actual mothers breast milk. Technically A kid survives on either

Why live in EXTRA harmful bacteria if you don't have to?

there is good bacteria and there's bad bacteria. There's bacteria that will help you and bacteria that will hurt you. If you promote good bacteria that helps you you will have less negative interaction with bad bacteria. Doesn't matter if it's your plant your gut, or your dogs gut.

Good bacteria is generally characterized as slower to populate an area, but stronger

Bad bacteria is generally characterized as faster to populate an area, but weaker.

NO its not, that's a COMPLETELY different argument.
If you're smart, hydro beats soil hands down. Hydro costs a little more to setup but can be SO much less work to run with better results.
There is no reason to mess up , do not blame hydroponics, blame the grower

Yes! These two are right on point.
Hydro over soil HANDS DOWN:hump:

"...in my experience."

"...in my opinion."

I have a degree in chemistry and immediately gravitated to hydro. Things change and people change. I became infatuated with the bigger picture that includes microbes as allies.

I think it's cool that folks grow hydro. I found it fun as shit.

In my opinion, there's nothing easier than natural soil. That does not mean some soil-like medium + bottled organic nutes. I mean properly built soil that can last for generations. So I'll add that soil is much cheaper than hydro, especially if you make your own amendments from what's available in your back yard

when done correctly is nearly maintenance free.

hydro is for lazy people, i do not do things for the sake of it lol
if soil was easier i would grow with soil

filling up plastic containers with tap water adding equal amounts of A and B
put the plastic stick in it to watch the pretty lights

check every few days and repeat .. watch them grow

how can folk get that wrong ?

And my systems only need checking every 7 to 10 days. :D

I'd also push for labeling describing how the product was grown
I'd have no problem with that. Most organic can't compete and definitely not in the quantity required to satisfy the market. I'm sure dumb ass hippies will get overcharged for the organic labeling forcing most to go for the more affordable and often better quality dro.

yeh i could set it up that way too , but i need something to do

once they have finished the stretch , they could go the last 6 weeks automated
the only thing left to automate would be the height of lights, but thats nothing to do with the hydro
which can be fully automated

i do not require any PH checks or res changes , just top ups of nutes and water

I don't move my lights.

The 50's brought in the NASA generation. Tang was good for us 'cause the astronauts drank it.

Nature was full of filth that will kill you. Buy our products instead. Tobacco won't hurt you.

Never before then was soil called "dirt" or "dirty." Soil feeds the earth for shits sake. You can thank corporate science for that mis-step

"...in my opinion."
I have a degree in chemistry
I have an associates degree majoring in horticultural physiology, with a minor in chemistry. that has nothing to do with it though. Hydroponics is just better, argue all day but its the same as GMO food arguments, ITS STRONGER, GROWS FASTER, AND PRODUCES WAY MORE.
But again, that's your experience snaps.
and most other hydroponics growers, including my own

Thanks for characterizing that as your opinion. I can round up just as many people that have been there and done that with hydro and are now do soil.

And I would fight for proper labelling, just as I demand of GMO.

Why? Because I have a right to know.
