outdoor hang drying (experienced replies only please)

Ok, so one or two weeks is harvest and if weather permits id like to dry on site as i dont like transporting. Im thinking put a tarp roof up with camo on top, hang under it and put a few battery powered fans blowing over them from a few feet away. Would height play much of a role in how much dew gets to themin the am? Any pros and cons from those with actual exp would be appreciated

Im worried ill ruin my bud lol i see people do it with no fans so if i throw a few fans that should really help i think. Theres 5in fans that last 72 hrs battery life for 10 bucks each
Even!

I've wet trimmed and dried in racks that were outside but shaded. I don't think I'd hang whole plants without fans.

Well im thinking of clipping all the fan leaves off and cleaning them up pretty good but keeping the plant together stem and flower wise...or should i really take the branches off?

If you've got good circulation you May be fine. Is this guerrilla? Because if it was I'd break it down as small as possible for quick drying. That was I could get it sealed up and curing at home as quick as I could. Hanging the whole plant can take more time than I'd be comfortable leaving it in the forest.

Yes, it is guerilla. Im not too concerned with any foot traffic because its like climbing
Through satans thorn bushes to get to it lol however, i would like it to be dry in 5-7 days atleast enough to put in jars just to limit the chance of bad weather or somebody finding it (anythings possible). Even if i break it down im gonna use fans to be safe. Theyre cheap anyway. So i should cut the branches off the stalk and wet trim them, then hang them with some light fan air?

It will work, it's just time consuming process as it is very humid/dewy this time of year. Give her as long as your weather will hold (5-7 days sounds good). I do it every year, as I find even a few days helps to atleast make the smell manageable upon transporting. I get nervous too and prefer it to stink up the bush rather than the whole house/garage/yard LOL!

Exacly brother, I never involve the significant other either. Good luck and it never hurts to borrow a close relative's shed for a week or two haha.

With fans you should be ok. Sunlight will bleach your buds. Air flow is most important. The more, the better for at least five days. After that, mold is less likely to be a problem.
So what adverse effects will the sun bleaching them cause? What if the tarp roof is big enough to block most direct sun light?

Even indirect(reflected) sunlight will bleach the buds and affect potency. I'm speaking from experience. I hung plants in a greenhouse one year and draped black plastic over them to below the buds lowest point. The kholas showed quite a lot of bleaching after two weeks. BTW, I've cut and hung two of my plants so far. I'll cut four more Saturday. These are outside. The greenhouse plants are about two weeks later.
