Using digital ballasts that go up to 600w boost plants are on week 5 of flower n starting to stretch can I turn lights back to 400w and still get good density on buds ...the room is too dam hot yoo

I got my 600w with a gull wing so no exhaust venting, its a closet grow so wen it gets hot i open the door up all the way amd set an oscillating fan on a chair blowing straight into the closet, it regulated the temp at around 84. The thing about dimming the ballast is u dont get the full potential of the bulb, lumens, spectrum etc, i was told to run a 400w bulb in my 600w setup if i keep it dimmed on 75%

If I keep temps low for a week or two then turn em back up for last week or two will it let the buds form more its gotta be the heat stretching em

Every one of the couple hundred indoor plants I've grown sure do, 24 days as the longest.

oh maybe mine do I guess the main stretch is in the first couple weeks

Some sativas will stretch again in the later weeks of flower
