Nice post, no i dont mix the organic teas that i brew with synthetic at the same time. I just switch them close to the end so that i can feed longer. Damn teas take forever how have to do it and i think most of how i feed is probably just the easiest way possible. I just buy everything that works on auto pilot.
Your quote on your grampa and his corn, your right, he doesnt ph his water for the corn right? He amends the soil and the plants then just bear with the soil for the rest of the grow. And they live, without deficiencies. Which reminds me, i have about 400 ears of corn to pick before it rains in the next couple days.
As for your your 15 yr grower, thats what some people do. They ph balance the crap outta the water and food. I dont and i still pull his numbers, so ya, to each their own. I mean i may get a couple more grams per run but then i have to mess with phing all that stuff for a couple more buds and with how much water i need i probably would pay more for the constant supply of ph down id need, the rez installation, and the monitoring system. Fuck ill just do it the old fashioned way where i just try to listen to the plant and hope for the best.

Hell yeah that is a deal for sure. I really like the idea of feeding organically the last couple weeks, I will have to give that a try... So you say you use bottled organic nutes the last couple weeks? What brand if you don't mind me asking?
Oh and dude one other quick question, do you know if it is nessecary to sterilize airstones/buckets between each tea? I read yes, but would be nice to go 2-3 teas before having to sterilize/clean everything, it's such a PITA lol. I just go the lazy route with teas (Pre-made bottled shit like FF big bloom and botannicare pure blend tea then great white shark and some molasses to boot)

Yes, you are correct as far as my gpa and corn, amends the soil then lets the soil do all the work. He also grows some crop in the winter (I can't remember the name) that stores tons of N in its roots, so then come time of growing corn, they have a ton of N to live off of. That is a deal, enjoy that corn! lol I had a couple corn plants, but threw them out due to aphids.. Didn't want them spreading to my mmj plants, the medicine is more important

I love it though man, I will start trying that out for sure. Would be nice to just water from the hose with a carbon filter attached rather than letting it sit and Ph'ing it. That is what I did for my outdoor plants this summer and DAMN it cost a lot to buy all the PH up/down when you have multiple 100-150 gallon plants lol. I appreciate you sharing your insight/experience.

Ya, why youd flame someone trying to help you is.....well many adjectives come to mind. And holy hanna i was peckered last night and the gf too. We were paralyzed drinking champagne. We just fd all night lol. Stone over today
As for my tea i use phosphorus high guano (i think, def not N high though), worm castings, seaweed extract, and molasses. Mix it and wait 24 hrs with an air stone. It seems like a cheap mix and my supply has lasted quite a while from small size bags. And its so nice to hear someone say fuck ph. I ran a tote grow dwc with six plants and didnt even chance the rez until like three weeks lef or something stupid. What ive heard is only change the rez once the plants have consumed the total volume of rez. And they were sog style with 14 day veg and thats just how much they consumed. I pulled a zip a plant of great bud
When i was talking about old grows i was probably talking about my dwc grow. Now i run soil, drain to waste and i like it. Safe, green, and easy ganja.
Im kinda glad we poached this guys thread, hes going to be one of those blowhards after one grow i can tell. Taker easy brother, and if she comes easy.......taker twice

So with your tea, you straight up mix it all vs. straining it in pantyhose or something? I'll have to give that a try sometime soon, I like that idea. Drain to waist systems are the shit! I only have one table set-up.. They are expensive if buying the plastic ones made for flood/drain systems.
Any good ideas for DIY drain away systems?
I was thinking taking 4x8 sheets of chipboard, putting 2x4's along it for walls then lining it with waterproof polywhite/panda plastic.
I just hate the idea of water accidentally getting through it and causing mold once on the chipboard :/
