I simply asked what makes one preparation more "salty" over another. You are being mean. So it's obvious they precipitate out but why? Inferior what? The salts themselves? I propose to you that "salty" is a misnomer perpetuated by stoners. It is a term used when someone sees white on the medium. I want to know scientifically why that happens. Just asking a question. You think i'm baiting you?
BTW - never seen salt on my medium which you know what I use....I have with GH 3-part.
Salty isn't the proper explanation for what occurs, you are right about that. I explained that fox farms precipitated out salts in the container as well as when simply preparing it for use. With fox farms, I'd often get lock out, burns, and deposits on my roots. That is what I mean by "salty"
Eta: I was always having to be reactionary when using it. To me, that's a problem. It's a waste of resources both time and money. I'm happy now not worrying about fertilizer and simply reading my plants.
