Again WOW ! and thank you for sharing such wonderfull relics with us , im truly in awe over the coins , especially the Dracul coins , i dont have anywhere the knowledge you do about ancient coins but ive allways loved reading about Dracula & such , after discovering yrs back the reality behind Dracula the son & the exploits of the Dracul i was hooked , ive tried several times over the yrs to acquire ancient coins & when the bids start topping $20k i know im still far too uneducated to go past $20k on a single coin .
You must have some great contacts to even come in contact with such great pieces , do you have them insured with a ryder that specifically insures each coins value , or the entire collections value ? if so please fill me in on how to get the full value coverage , ive tried several times over the yrs to get my Farmers ins to cover full value & they refuse .
To get any coverage at all on my main collection of vintage hifi i had to hire an appraiser & a Mcintosh dealer to research each piece's current value & come up with a figure , the insurance company balked at the appraisal & will only insure the collection for 1/3 of its true value , their reasoning is supposedly market fluctuation on vintage items , the best coverage i could get is an additional $250k added to the standard $70k on contents an ( average )home contains , the $70k coverage wont cover the replacement cost of the amplifiers in our home theater alone , were roughly $400k under insured from certified appraisal value at present & cant find any ins co to insure at full value .
All they will tell me is to find an ins co that specializes in insuring art collections , which i promptly did but was refused as a high risk due to my prison sentences 30 yrs ago , any leads or tip's you could give would help .
Being familiar with his movies it would be just like him to pay a personal visit

Is it the lamp shade with a bunch of random pictures on it or the all one color white/tan lamp shade ? Creepy stuff .
For those who dont know wtf were talking about with lamp shades it relates to a serial killer & nazi horrors ,the most known example is where Ilse Koch toured Buchenwald concentration camp with the camp commandant ( her boyfriend ) & looked at jews & poles who had tattoo's she liked , then after their deaths had the tattoo's skinned from the bodies & tanned like leather ,then made into a lamp shade , pretty fukin sick ! This lamp shade has never been found & most jewish scholars dont believe any jews were used in that particular lampshade for religious reasons .
The other example has been found & was made out of human skin as well by a serial killer named Ed Gein , he was the inspiration behind the movie character Buffalo Bill in Silence of the lambs , that sick fuk ate human flesh , made a lamp shade from human skin as well as a female body suit made from his victims just like the movie , he made bowls from human skulls , upolstered chairs with human skin & another lampshade out of a victims entire face , he tanned & preserved victims vaginas & vulvas & made a belt entirely from female nipples , had skulls attached to his bed posts & body parts in pots on the stove when police searched his house , it was so bad the police kept a few piecs for evidence , took a bunch of pics then burned the house to the ground with everthing else left where it lay , Ed Gein is the most horrific serial killer of em all, i think it took place in the early 50's.

No just the regular, not special at all. It started when I was quitting cigs. I wanted to see how many lighters I went through. I know a lighter can light a lot of cigs, so as I saw the lighters start to add up it helped motivate me to quit the cigs. I still use and collect them with my MJ smoke but they don't add up as fast.

Living where Bela Lugosi (Dracula) hung out promted me
to search out and buy something that is directly tied to the
real Dracula (Vlad Dracul).
I'm glad I got to share the coins and some of my other stuff.
It's not good when you have no one to share with but just a few friends and family.
I have no insurance just a great stash place and
I never even thought about insurance but
thank's for the heads up!
It might be tough to find an insurance Co. that will
insure for full value of my collectibles of many kinds
that are very rare. The stash spot has
been working well for me.

Nah, you can insure it at full value, but you might be shocked at the cost. Insurance companies love shit like that.

We share alot of the same interests in collecting & if your like me the most expensive stuff stays out of view & unspoken about , hopefully you never need insurance but you should get appraisals on everything , as you know the more provenance the higher valuation .
Bela Lugosi was awesome ,he introduced Dracula to movie goers & made the character popular,he also played the 1st werewolf that turned Lon Chaney into the werewolf he was so famous for.
Bela was also the 1st to portray Vampires & werewolves as being separate immortal species , where werewolves are the daylight guardians of vampires,in Bram Strokers book version Dracula was able to shape shift into a bat,toad,rat & mist , as well as a werewolf so Dracula was a werewolf as well as a vampire.
We love everything Bela did ,it sucks how he died broke & alone while dealing with a massive morphine addiction,my wife was born & raised in Lebanon so she grew up without hollywood influences & wasnt a big fan of television or movies , i introduced her to classic actors such as Bela that relied on method acting vs special effects , she came to appreciate actors,now she's hooked on all the old horror masters like Bela , Cristopher Lee , Vincent price & Lon Chaney Jr.
If you enjoy reading about the lineage of mythological characters the Werewolf or Lycan's origins are an interesting subject based on Greek Mythology, a mythological figure named King Lycaon held a fest in honor of the God King Zeus, then at the feast served Zeus human flesh to eat, Zeus became enraged & turned King Lycaon into a wolf like beast with human eyes, the 1st Lycan , were both heavily into the classic horror genre & its origins.

I try to stay away from anything with print on it, Ive got about 40 and only one white one. (old wise tale says they are bad luck, I don't believe it) So it looks like I support gay rights with all of my colorful lighters on display.
LOL all one color with different shades of 'tan'. There were no tattoo markings as far as I could tell but he was very protective of that room. I fixated on the lampshade, now I wish I'd looked around a little more. None of us acted up in his class, he was a very serious, chap.

Actually I have provenance on all my collectibles that came from the
owners before me so I'm good there but thanks for the heads up!
When the A&E Channel came to film my house for a biography on Ed Wood one
of the camera men said to me "it was probably a shooting gallery in back" meaning in the back house of my property and meaning Bela's Morphin addiction.
If there is ever a "Ghost" thread on RIU I would like to share my very real experiences with Bela's Ghost.
I love the Greek Mythology and I've spent some time in Athens Greece visited the ruins and such. I'm working on obtaining rare coins of Zues, Medusa, Pegasus, Nymphs and a few others to add to my collection of rare coins.
I have to say I get a kick out of knowing that Vampires originated from where I was born
in Serbia. I was born in the Capitol Belgrade and I trip on how most all people have no idea that Vampires originally came from Serbia. Google is where I got the info and it is fascinating reading on the true origin of Vampires. I take pride in the fact that Vampires originated where I was born in Serbia.
I also take pride that my birth certificate
reads that I was born 4:20 pm so it looks like Marijuana is my life's calling and that it has been since I was 14 still is and will be forever.
