Foxtail Description?

I have read the term foxtail here and this noob is unclear as to what that is. Can someone enlighten?

If you google for "cannabis foxtail" you'll see images. It's like a late-flower spurt of new growth. Like it's vegging calyxes out of the bud. I don't know if it's good or bad. I seem to get it more on strains stronger in indica. Nutes might play a factor too, like resuming higher N after a period of higher PK.

Instead of being a consistent cylinder
looks more like an inverted cone
or like a "foxes tail" its puffyier toward the top

I hope my descriptions are not confusing
