discoloration?

some leaves on my lil' seedling seem to be discolored. kinda yellowish at the tips. I don't know if I could be wasting your time because I don't know if this is normal or not. my bet is that it isn't. maybe I could be over or under-watering as well as or quite possibly over or under-lighting it. this is my first grow as well (as I have said in many posts prior, and I apologize if I'm getting too obnoxious and annoying about my plant). there're some pictures just so you guys get a better idea on how it looks so far. it's about a week and a half old since it popped out of the ground.

those are the starter leafs of the plant. can not remember the name of them, but they turn yellow and fall off as the plant matures.

Everthing is cool. :peace:

alright, I had a feeling that could've been what it is. I was wondering whatever happens to those after a while. thanks though for clarifying that.

1)it's a styrofoam pizza shop cup
2)I have a 10 inch pot for when the plant gets too big for the cup
3)the soil is Sta-Green soil with moisture crystals or something in it
4)I'm only using bottled Poland Spring water
5)I have A fluorescent light with some sunlight. it stays in the sun until full sun and then I put it under my fluorescent until night fall
6)IT'S only about a week old
7)if "this" means the discoloration, it started yesterday. but it's just nothing
8)it's name is Hohner for you harmonica/kazoo enthusiasts

I know it's nothing fancy, but I'm not really aiming too high.

although I think it's too much light, it gets about 12 hours of it. the fluorescent is relatively bright? I don't know haha. I water it when the soil feels dry, which is about every other day or so.

the plant looks to wet to me , watering a litle plant like that everyday is not good because it hardly got any roots so it not uses alot of water .
and yur pot looks not verry deep to me. seedlings make a pen root first , that means the first root grows down and then it start making the regular roots
12 hours light you say ? the plant goes in flowering mode and you not realy want that right ?
those things you not realy want with a seedling.
try next time to use a longer pot like 7 inches and fill em up almost to the top , and make some holes in the bottom , then when you give to much water it can flow out and yur litle baby wil not drown

my plant isn't in a pot, it's on a lil' cup lol. it does in fact have holes in the bottom. I do have a bigger pot though that I'll be putting it into soon. I don't know how much light it should be getting at this stage, could someone please inform me on that?

I don't have anything to check the ph of it. I'm using anywhere from 10-12 hours of lighting which is too little for this stage of growing.

There's no way you can give them 24 light for aleast 4 weeks? That is too little light for these young babies. Could it wI guess you'll find out.ork?

What you need to do is go to Lowe's and get the 4 pack of 6500k compact flourecent lights. What dude had a hard time typing was about putting it under 24hr of light. and you should atleast for the first few weeks.

I have a plant that looked just like that. Little tlc and its a bush!!!!!!!

Read up on the Faq and look at journals. thats what helped me the most. B/c you see the mistakes and the fixes.
