I don't think lp's will survive in the long run with the way it is now ie medical usage. Only way is if legalization happens like in the states but by then the entry bar will be lowered to make the industry work unless the gov artificially tries to make it fail/downplayed. I deal with lots of smokers everyday between customers and rfiends an no one I know has yet ordered from any of the LP's or cares to order from them. The system is no sustainable in the long run with the LP being the only places to order from.
Some on here are saying look there's lots of sign ups, well yah its a new industry so there will always be a rush of first time users but eventually it'll plateau out and the sign ups will come to a crawl. No recreational use will bother to go through all the steps required to make the first order even if it means they can carry around their weed legally. There are too many steep steps in the commerce process and I know lots of smaller growers (2-6 lights) who started to piece out their weed for $140-160 per oz.You can't compete with that when all it takes is 5-20 min to get your cannabis

Therein lies the problem. Any decent product coming out of tweed is going to take a while!
In their ultimate wisdom the management decided to sell their poorly grown tester runs as medical marijuana at a price far exceeding fair market value.
In my opinion this type of decision shows their true intentions. Tweed does not truly care about the patients. They are merely gearing up for legalization. I only hope the feb15 case results in legislation more closely resembling the mmar.
With any luck, legalization is far enough away that these bloodsuckers will have lost their ill-gotten monopoly.
Tweed will never again get a dime from me or my family. Fuck tweed!

So my guess is they're plants that were already started and acquired through the take over of the company. Here's their latest head scratching wtf video. So they ship the plants from Niagara to Smith's falls for processing. Hmmmmm I'm really almost fucking speechless at this point. Why drive the plants 6 hrs to be trimmed? How the fuck is that good for quality(not that they've ever had any but let's humor the scenario) All it does is add to the over head costs which, in turn, trickle down to the patients. Am I the only one who seriously wonders how these guys can even run a business of ANY type, let alone in this industry.

They have to get it tested at the lab - no sense in building two labs.
They probably also have all their irradiation equipment at the main facility.
I'm sure it's due to regulations in a roundabout way.

If they purchased this facility from another applicant those things would have been required to be on site to gain license approval anyway.

Only after you get a letter of intent to build. Also, labs are optional and not required as per the regulations - external labs are allowed.
If the applicant hadn't received a letter yet then they would only have on hand whatever your typical big ass MMAR grow has.
