Seed stuck on first set of leaves

Whats up all
Its been a few years since my last grow, I have a couple of questions

1. Is it ok to reuse soil? I had a male grow out of the same pot I'm growing my female out of with the same soil (fox farm ocean forrest).. the Mail was 1 month old and about 8inches high. So he wasn't that big.. When I ripped him out I mixed up the soil, took out the left over roots I found, and flushed the soil pretty good
I then through a female white widow in the soaked soil and it sprouted in 2 days (thought everything was going good). I planted it on the 21 of November so about a week ago.. Yesterday the seed was still stuck on the first set of leaves that come in and it had been like that for 3 days so yesterday I decided to try nd pick off the seed but It ripped the 2 non serrated leaves in half.

2. Did I just fuck it all up? Will it still grow? Should I go buy more soil? I figured the Danm soil cost 20$ why can't u use it twice?

Any advice will be great!

Yesterday the seed was still stuck on the first set of leaves that come in and it had been like that for 3 days so yesterday I decided to try nd pick off the seed but It ripped the 2 non serrated leaves in half.

I get that sometimes. I let it go for 3-4 days, hopefully developing roots and a stronger stem. I'll mist the shell once a day or every other day, but this is risky because it could keep the stem/soil too damp and cause it to "damp off." I'll finally mist it and using magnifier lenses (sold at Harbor Freight) that clamp onto reading classes, I'll gently pry the shell loose using a couple pins (one to pry, the other to try and counter the force I'm applying). The misting helps loosen the membrane. I wait 5-10 minutes to let it soak in. If it doesn't give much, I'll wait a day or two and try again.

The seed hull will eventually come off, don't complicate things by screwing around with it. Mother nature can handle her shit without your help...she has been doing it for trillions of years.

Old School is right, let Mother Nature do her thing, "it's not wise to fool with Mother Nature".
