Hey everyone. Iv just started growing from and what i want to know is, if i keep my 2 CFL's (6500k 18watts 1040 lumen each) close to my plant about 3-5 inches constantly with a fan near it to keep cool, and keep it on 18/6 for 6-7 weeks, then switch to 2 (2700k 20watts) on week 6 or 7 and put in 12/12 would i be able to pull off a decent harvest? half ounce dried? I dont have time to leave it in veg for like 13 weeks ect... And these are the best lights i can get my hands on/ afford. my grow last year was decent with only ONE cfl... So yeah any tips help or ideas? this is also placing outside in sunny days. Not sure about the mixture of light and sun?

Why don't you have the time to veg for 13 weeks?
we will be moving in 11 weeks. and i want to have a decent smoke up with the boys before we leave lol. so i want to try get them budded enough by the 10th week. so i can dry for a few days and cure for a few more days then smoke up on my leaving day

I have never used cfl but it seems to me that u will need more time than u think.. I'm no expert but to my knowledge most strains will take 8 weeks give or take to flower.. That leaves 3 weeks for veg dry cure.. Hmm..

While i have had strains finish in 8 weeks its super unusual that chop is right on the 8 week mark. If a strain is supposed to be 8-9 weeks from breeders info which most of them claim, ive noticed generally a 9-10 week flower is necessary for the plant to completely mature. Not always but just my experience. Also i would say minimum 3 weeks to dry and have a shit cure. Like, itll be smokeable but if it takes you 4 to 7 days to dry its leaves you with only 2 weeks left to cure with that 3 min. And imo 2 week cure is not that great. Smokeable, but not anywhere near as good as it could/should be.

im not to fussed about taste ect... we will most likely be drunk when we smoke it so we wont really know. Half oz would be nice but not needed. Just a bit of bud for us boys to toke on. Is it true that if you leave it on 12/12 from seed, it will start budding when it can? like will it start to bud as early as it can possible?

The only way you would be able to.pull a harvest would be 12/12 from seed imo.

If you have 11 weeks, and you veg for 6, that still only leaves you 5 weeks. Flowering time only starts from when the plants actually flower, not when you flip the lights. So you would be.looking at maybe 3 weeks of flower total whigh would produce shitty immature bud.

Go 12/12 from seed and you should be at least in the wheel house of getting a harvest in.
