Compost tea

LOL! I don't know why you have such a negative opinion of Tim. I've belonged to a couple different organic sites (one that he runs) that he is a member of and not one time has he tried to sell something, or even hinted at it. Not having a degree hanging on the wall doesn't mean that he's not very well versed on the topic, and capable of observing microbial populations on a slide.

You don't have a botany degree, so should we assume that you suck at growing plants and disregard any info you post on growing plants?
you missed my point. Everyone praises the almighty Tim. Yet quick attack or dismiss Ingham. With the only thing saying look into her. Without any justification reiterating what someone else said. Which one of the 2 is more qualified and more experienced on the subject . We've already been over this and tims contradictions.

I don't praise Tim, or attack Ingham. I quote Tim often because he's an active member of the marijuana community and is easily accesible, and happy to answer questions.

Feel free to shoot Elaine an e-mail and have her pop over to this thread and I'd be more than happy to pick her brain....

yeah, and we know what happened when we tried to contact her, we got offers on paying her to speak at a seminar...
If you are un-accessible like that, of course we will listen to who gives us the time of day.
When I say "us" and "we" I mean the cannabis community.
They both know way more about it than I do.
however I doubt they know what a correct fuel injector current ramp looks like on an oscilloscope or an ignition waveform...
We all have our strengths... I mean I have a ton of automotive licenses and certifications I lost track, but I can't figure out how to get this forum to allow me to post pictures, for the life of me, soooooo, yeah.

yea, i'm not totally computer illiterate, I just don't know all the ins and outs like I do cars/trucks/organics
Hey would it be bad if i did compost teas with my nutrients? Im not talking about mixing them together. I use organic nutes right now and was wondering if i also do a compost tea say like once every two weeks do u think my plants would get burned? Im fairly new to organics. Only my second round with organics and soil. Was a hydro guy to start

ahh no man, they won't get burned unless you feed them too much, but the compost tea is never a bad thing, uness you go really crazy with the BSM, in fact the purpose of the compost tea is to be used in conjunction with some nutrients, whether soil amended or added hydroponically. But no it's good for them, the microbes in the compost tea are what "digests" the organic nutrients into a usable food, very similar to the same way that the human digestive system works.

Ok right on! Im pretty excited to give this a shot! Im going to stop at my local gardening store today to get some alaskan susitna compost and some black strap unsulfered molasses and just try that combo. Ill probably pick up some seaweed or kelp based nute to add to it also. Does that sound like a good beginners tea?

yea, I personally don't add any nutes to my compost tea, but you can, although it may effect the microbes
I'd save your kelp for a nutrient tea, but you can add it to the aact, it just may slow the microbes down.
A compost tea would be perfect with just compost(or EWC) and molasses.
for a nutrient tea I like kelp meal, alfalfa meal, and insect frass,
or comfrey, aloe, coconut water and dandelions (awesome tea)

The aact is a simple tea, and ya can't go wrong, check out the SSTs too, those work well.
And make sure your pump is up to the task, you need a beefy one

Hey do u add
Soluble Mycorrhizae to your soil?
not to my soil, no.
From what I've read, myco does little to nothing unless it has contact with the roots, so I dust the roots on transplant only.
Some people do the turkey injector thingy, I do not. Not that it's wrong, I just don't
