does it matter if my plant still green towards harvest

If you want it to feed off itself to push it towards finishing you should flush it. I've used a flushing GH bottle before and it did the trick. I'm not sure if it contributed to any flavor change.

So next time I give it a flush I'll be giving it the juice 2 weeks or so before harvesting and just finishing off on PH'd water before chop.

My bud has never smelled like caramel and is never harsh. You keep doing what your doing and I will do what I do.

See the big ass bottle of Hi-Brix molasses in the back?

$12.99 and I get 15% off at my local shop.

That's the direction I would point you, not sugar out of a packet.

Edit: Oh, and because you like using pics to prove your point...

That turbinado sugar (sugar in the raw) is refined, it's crystalized. Sucanat is pure cane juice stirred while dried to produced granules, it's not refined at all and contains 100% of original molasses.
Thats what sugar in the raw is un refined. "I have gotten an overwhelming response with questions on sucanat and I find myself writing the same thing over and over.
So what I have done is compile some information for you to sift through and I give the amounts to use. So with what information Im giving you here should answer your questions good enough for you to make an informed decision.

Sucanat (which is a concatenation of Sugar Cane Natural) is non-refined cane sugar that has not had the molasses removed from it like refined white sugar. It is essentially pure dried sugar cane juice. The juice is extracted by mechanical processes.[1]

Sucanat is generally accepted as a substitute for brown sugar. Unlike regular brown sugar, sucanat is grainy instead of crystalline.

"More importantly, Sucanat supplemented herb has an aroma and flavor all its own. It won't cover up the natural smell of your plants, but it'll add an extra richness and flavor to the strain. Some varieties that I've seen grown with Sucanat take on the flavor so much that they smell like carmel candy when you break up a bud. Joints rolled with Sucanat-grown ganja taste delicious all the way down to last ember burning against your fingertip. Bong hits linger on your tongue for hours, and even a quick hit off a pipe during lunch break becomes a momentary orgasm of sweet, savory goodness as the smoke rolls of your lips."

We all know that white sugar is like the devil. It's got zero nutritional value and rots our teeth. It also makes us feel crappy when we eat it because it makes our blood sugar level spike up and then come crashing down. Imagine what it does to our poor plants.

Have you heard of Sucanat? It stands for Sugar Cane Natural. It's sugar in its most natural form - pure cane juice with only the water removed. This process preserves all the vitamin-filled molasses. It's organically grown with no added preservatives or additives."(subcool)

Its not my problem if it goes against your belief. You know the old saying don't knock it until you try it.

And can I continue feeding up untill the chop or do I have to stop if so when? I'm using bio bloom, bio grow and top max any information be great thanks in advance
You should stop feeding, let it fade it will taste better. Sorry about the thread I'm done.

I never said it did.

I just said if someone wanted to add sugars, to use Hi-Brix.

Not sure why you're being a dick. I wasn't the one that said anything about sugar making it taste better.
my reply was directed at Dr.pecker, Not you. Sorry you took it as such. I agree with using a product like that, but not to flush with, plants don't uptake sugar or molasses. It just feeds microbes in the soil and really molasses should be used in a tea for best use.

I grow in Happy Frog.

I use it to help feed the bennies. ;)

And I have no idea why someone would flush with it in the first place. Molasses contains potassium, so literally you are trying to flush away nutrients by adding nutrients.

Cheers for your answers guys and the debate over sugar haha
Actually it's an important point for a grower especially what the OP asked about finishing of a plant. No it wasn't the specific question but if you understand about the microherd and CEC exchange it's fascinating.

I'm with The Yokel, *IF* you feel the need to use a carb supplement I'd go for the Hi Brix myself, but I am certainly no expert, just a motivated intermediate. Although I grow in hydro I know I will eventually try other methods. Feelings usually run pretty high about 'flushing'. So remembering to simply ignore the hackles rising and listen to the information passed is crucial.

All of us can get a bit overzealous in our argument and although I may not use your method it's fascinating to see how other's grow and how they think and what works for them. That's why although I am not growing in soil, nor do I flush I always learn from these debates.
