FS C99 Flowering Time

I chopped her at 45 days
Out of about 12 seeds I had one that grew differently than all the rest..
11 of them grew tall about 4.5 -5 ft. Id say 100 percent sativa in growth structure but one plant was a monster yielder.. It was single cola dominant and it was the largest bud I've gown to date.. But it stayed short.. Both phenos were grapefruit tasting I think.. However the taste was bland for me I liked the strain even tho I'm not a sativa guy
Do you mind sharing how long you veg for ? See some people are like veg her out for a while but I simply don't have 5 feet of room to flower anything crazy.

yes, the C'99 chopped around day 52. I also experienced the same high as described before me... the full buzz did not hit until about 10 minutes after toking. Then the intense lasted a good 2 hours before mellowing out. You can view my journal on it here.... wonderful strain!

I stopped running it bc of the taste but I used to veg it for 8 weeks and it would get real tall so if u don't want it 4 or 5 ft then veg less than that.
Also my eyes would get real red from this strain. I used to have a journal from a long time ago but couldn't find it I guess it got deleted.
All this talk about it makes me wanna get a few beans of it

I've ran Female seeds C99 and then selfed her and ran one of my seeds much longer. She was fully mature at 49 days. I didn't find her any better at 9+ weeks 63+ days. I had three, three and four in terms of phenotypes. But one, C99-2 was very nice. I had a primarily sour mango smell, grapefruit and the best had a bit of rotted fruit and a very deep grapefruit smell (to me and I'm notoriously bad on smells).

My C99 stretched to about 6.5' at the tallest and I started flowering fairly early.

I have a Female Seeds Bubblegummer and a Female Seeds Lemon Kush on my flower table right now. I also have some Mosca C99 I'm looking forward to popping.

How did you judge they were done? Trich color?

I am also wondering myself the harvest window. I have read the majority of ppl on diff forums recommend 48-56 days. People even say it could use more time to fill out and pack on weight, but they insist for the "c99 high" they were chopped at that time.

People also have claimed to flower 70+\- days and said there was still no sign of amber?
You get a different high depending on when you chop. Chop around 7 weeks it's a trippy high....9 weeks is more of a heady buzz.

I chop at mostly cloudy with some clear. I don't wait for amber.

I've toyed with flower times and container sizes with FS C99. For me, the optimum veg time is about 4 weeks.....in a 2 gal container and you'll get a plant around 30" tall.

Got one vegging now :D not going for yield on this grow though. I have 6 strains growing under a 250w in a stealth cab lol

Going sog. Going to be a pain with different growth patterns/strains.

Just want a sample of everything before I decide what to grow again.

Putting her into flower this weekend. Odd, I am growing mainly indicas looking for a great couchlock strain. Why am I getting most excited for this to turn out. LoL
The buzz is different and that is what matters to me, I don't want all couch potato weed, I need some active duty shit.

I need something for insomnia at night. The C99 is the only sativa like plant, aside of from iced grapefruit I have in my cab right now. Was mainly growing it for the gf, but she might have to share more then she thinks/wants :D

Anyone know if the C99 breeds well with other strains?
Chuckys Bride is good evidence that it does. In fact, E$ko, for one, has used it in many of his flagship strains. Glancing around most any seed banks, you'll see it in many offerings.

One. Then the 2nd and 3rd were as good as the first, and the only variance was a couple days finishing time.

I'm not a pheno hunter, I pop, chop and smoke.
Amos you ever find prizes from all the beans you pop . I know you've run many strains I'm just curious if you save any "keepers" that you've came across . Or is the spaghetti sauce still pop, chop , smoke ?

cindy is a staple in my garden. I will put her up against ANY other sativa/indica strain on the market for finish time..unless your a dumb ass and can kill a weed it will grow just about any where and any time.. I threw out an old bucket of roots from a three year plant..(harvest re-veg,harvest re-veg) you get the point and this was done for three years in a row ANYWAY to the point where I threw it out after the last harvest with minimal popcorn left over under a tarp and the next year it started re-growing from under a tarp in the brush.. I have had trimmings from thinning her out and left over cuttings from cones thrown out in the brush and they would root and grow.. this plant is hard to kill .. she is very forgiving and as everyone has described her smell is very fruity and helps with smell control.. I have cut her at 45 days and right on up to almost 80 days just to see what she would do.. THE TRICHROMES OMG.. wear gloves is all I am saying... I have her in a constant rotation because she makes some of the cleanest oil I have had.. ok I will stop but I can go on for day about her.. just remember she will get twice the size after flip through out finish time..

Wow !

The last one. :)

But to answer your question as best I can - I've never studied weed to be a breeder or pheno finder and keeper. I did, however, keep a fantastic Ripped Bubba for a few runs, as well as a Timewreck - amigos gave me much grief for letting them go, but then they're pretty pleased with most of what comes their way via the Ponderosa - and so am I. There have been several plants since that would have warranted keeping, but I'm always anxious to pop something else and move on....and I can always come back to most packs for another run at some point [ like Chuckys Bride just recently].

I can only think of maybe 5 strains that I tried that were worse than commercially bought weed in this area. If I were faced w/ having only one strain to run and smoke vs commercial weed, I'd go w/ my one - whatever it is. But with a gazillion vendors and breeders w/ a gazillion strains and crosses, I'm happy to pop, chop and smoke my life away, amigo....:) The thing is....I always have variety in every grow now, and years on RIU and elsewhere have helped me to purchase beans that have a vg chance at being something I'll really like. This last chop, for instance, I love everything that was in it. :weed:With the expected quality of the beans still waiting a turn, I figure that's how it'll always be.:eyesmoke:
