do charcoal filters scrub out chloramine ? I thought they started adding some kind a resin filter to ro`s to get the chloramine out ?

Yeah citrus neutralizes chloramine and chlorine but I heard that was only for 2 days or so ?

I have something else that also neutralizes it but can`t remember what it`s called

I`ll look on the bag when I`m home

Its like little clear crystals think people use them for treating tap water for fish ?

most of it, I can taste it out of the tap, I can't after the filter

Will running an air stone in your water make chloramine evaporate faster?
yes.

from the study i just cited:

Lowering of partial pressure on the air side is accomplished by sweeping away the volatile laden air near the
surface and replacing it with fresh, volatile free air (or another gas). Draughts in the room (or breezes outdoors) and
fans can thus speed removal. Sparging the water with air bubbles or another gas can have the same effect and also
offer the increased advantage of offering substantially increased surface area, i.e. the surface of the sparge gas bubbles.

granted, a day or two will only remove 20% or so of chloramine. you need about a week for its half life to do its thing and it will be gone completely.
is it worth the effort.... in your opinion, does it make a noticeable difference?

are there any con's to letting it sit for a week?

LOL...I do check my pH with drops, but I agree, keep it simple
i'd PH if i was doing hydro or something, but soil is a nice buffer. plain old roots organic with some extra perlite mixed in.

works for most all of my plants. certain strains show extra needs, but not many.
