Yes, wait though it gets better. You need a different hunting license for each season.

Depending on the state it gets really crazy. In MI I would purchase my deer hunting license with a doe permit too in case I wanted to shoot momma. You can only get one per season too. But each season breaks down like this, you need your bow permit, muzzle loader permit and open season permit. I don't hunt anymore so I don't if it's still the same there.

I have heard in Alabama you get one per day per member of your club. So if your hunting club and 30 people, one guy could 30 as long as no one else did.

The seasons and limits are ecologically and population controlled and usually for good reason. The license and permits are revenue, just revenue.
