Pk 13/14 question

I been using 5ml of pk13/14 per 10 litres every feed since I seen buds appear think I'm on about day 20 since I switched to 12/12,
Will this be too much pk? Wrong time to pk ? I consider myself a seasoned grower but get worried about the basics sometimes
got pics but can't work out how to upload em ??

you should have used a stronger dose for less time imo, that is what i do anyway.

use more like 15ml per 10l and only give them it 3-4 times ( around 20 days in 12/12)

what is your feeding regime? i use all the same products as you and could help clarify things, not try and belittle you because of your lack of knowledge in plant chemistry.

Good post makes u think twice, although I don't think I belong in the catergory of people uncle Ben is describing as I'm using like the lowest denomination u can measure from a canna bottle 5 mil !!! That's not overloading as well as 5 to 10 ml of vita max 40 ml of boost 25 ml of zym and 20 ml of A & B my ppm never goes over 600 these days I just feed feed feef rather then feed water feed although leaves do look bit burnt at bottom maybe I'm due 1 water

You don't think it helps at all at clearing things up like maybe clearing build up in mutes or anything, if u stay below 600 ppm you shouldn't have to use just water??? Explain why u think never just water I did go thru a phase of feef water feed but lowerd my ppm so I could just feed feed feed but I like to give just water at least every couple of weeks

purely from an experience point of view ( i have grown cheese in canna coco products for 5 years non stop) you have to trust me when i say that giving them plain water only ever has negative effects on the plants. i could take over an hour listing negatives but i don't have the time unfortunately.

if you have real cheese it can take an e.c of 2.4 so don't worry about over feeding, if anything you need to up the a+b

i have decent tap water so when i add my a+b at 4ml/l it hits between 1.2-1.7 e.c

sorry i have only ever worked in e.c so i am not entirely sure what that is in ppms, i'm sure you could do a google conversion on that.

usually on cheese i will feed something like this:

week 1: 4ml/l a+b
week 2: 4ml/l a+b 2ml/l boost
week 3: 2ml/l a+b 2ml/l boost 1.5ml/l pk 13/14
week 4: 4ml/l a+b 2ml/l boost
week 5: 3ml/l a+b 3ml/l boost
week 5: 3ml/l a+b 4ml/l boost
week 6: 3ml/l a+b 4ml/l boost
week 7: 2ml/l a+b 4ml/l boost
week 8: 2ml/l a+b

cannazym and rhizotonic do not need to be added every feed, i wouldn't use rhizo in flower as it can fuck the ph badly and is more of a root stimulant anyway.

i use zym near the end and when i harvest i simply pull out the old rootball and plant straight back into the existing coco, i'm currently on my fifth generation in the same pots, i don't even cultivate the stuff, just leave as is and on with the next grow

by the way that chart i just made up off the top of my head is not what i use, it was just a recommendation based on the stuff you already have (i dont know what that vitamax is).

i also add Bloombastic (0/20/21) a very powerful bloom stimulant/ ripener this is why i lower my a+b towards the end as the e.c can get too high.

Wow that's alot of feed il try adding more a and b see how they react in terms of re-using coco I can barely dig my fingers in to the sides of the root mass when pulled from the pot I don't see how I could use that coco I use air pots and they seem to completely swallow all the coco by the time I harvest do u have any old pics of ur plants while at the heavy feed stage so u ever get nute burn

I might try that bloom bastic it's a soluble rite? Aperantly they add another dimension to your plants feeding uptake? although I thought food is food, vita max i add for macros micros and vitamins at least it's wot I think I add it for lol they seem to respond well to it better then other vitamin boosters Iv tryed

13-14 you can push up to 5ml per 1L easy if its the solo nute your using that feed you can even push it up higher I`ve gone 3000ppm`s + but it really depends on the strain also I like to save higher nute dosages like that till late in the plants life just incase any rot sets in from it

You should try monopotassium phosphate (powder) much cheaper and stronger then 13/14 you only need about 5g per L for a max dosage and it dissolves really easy

Potassium sulphate is good too

i chop the plant at the stem, water with zym and let the coco dry out again, this helps break down dead roots and turns them into food for the microlife in the coco, plant magic granules or mychos are great to use on transplant as they give the roots a much needed boost. i end up feeding a weaker and weaker solution the longer i have my coco, as a result. transplants will not need more than 1ml/l in the first 2-3 weeks.

granted they were some big plants, but even at 2.4 e.c this kush went slightly hungry, the cheese was damn near to perfection, only the slightest of tip burn

I think the only way to know if your pk is sane is to know the NPK ratio of your base nutes and supplements (for example, your calmag probably adds N). I made a spreadsheet to do this. (<<link) Just

1) Transfer the information from your product labels to the 1-20 worksheets.
2) In the "UNMIX" worksheet enter the amounts you actually use.
3) Transfer the calculated "parts" to the "MIX" spreadsheet and it will tell you your NPK ratio and PPM. Adjust your PK supplement to get whatever ratio you want.

A flower ratio of 1-3-2 seems popular among experienced growers. Whatever you do at least you'll know exactly what you did. You won't be guessing. You'll be able to repeat it with other products.

I'm on the fence about this. I've been trying feeding less and having less salt buildup. It seems my plants do better if I feed stronger before and during aggressive veg, then flush (not a 3x flush to correct a problem, but about 100% runoff. Not water only, half strength nutes.). In flower it doesn't seem to matter if I feed stronger because by the time salts build up it's about time to stop feeding anyway.

Coco may be different. I use 60% Pro-Mix HP, 20% Kellog Patio potting mix (randomly chosen, have no idea if it's good), 20% perlite. Maybe the peat in Pro-Mix contributes something to my feeling that a moderate feed/flush is beneficial. @941mick (I think) said peat releases metals or something.

1 3 2 ima dial that in thxs. Gotta new problem now lol went to look at some I got goin elsewhere and they not lookin too great yellowy annoying little fukers some are fine il show u pics see wot u guys think maybe I'd be best doin a new thread on this
