donkey asshat, just sayin!!!

Let's set the record straight once and for all. I hear this "try new things" stuff all the time. Just because you discovered or read something for the first time doesn't mean it hasn't been done by others. As a baby when you open up your eyes for the first time, the colors of your bed toys are quite exciting.
Nobody has shown me the science or logic behind defoliation, nor will they ever.

I know we don't like the high times articles, but here's another

Also kinda funny how all the most "influential" mainstream sources for news turn out to be garbage propaganda machines. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it bears total authority on the subject. And, as you said yourself, the world's flat vs. round, theories change, as does the science, especially when what was once unknown is later revealed. Again, all should be taken with a grain of salt. We preach science like we are the architects, when science is simply the language used to understand and attempt to explain what we cannot on our own.Kinda funny the largest most influential cannabis magazine is saying th exact same things ive been trying to say for the last 80 pages but im the dummy right? Lol
And Sativied everything will be okay buddy do u need a hug? I know ur uncle used to touch u and ur still mad about that but its not ur fault; im sure ur mother is very proud she raised such a kind hearted spirited fellow like yourself. Your a loser and i mean that in a good way.. Lol
Heres Sativied year book photo i just found:

"There are two hypotheses that might explain photosynthetic responses to defoliation at a whole-plant level. The first, the source:sink (S:S) hypothesis, suggests that increases in photosynthetic rates after partial defoliation are regulated by changes in whole-plant carbon S:S relationships (Neales and Incoll, 1968; Layne and Flore, 1995; Pinkard et al., 2011b). The second implies that photosynthetic responses to defoliation are regulated by changes in whole-plant hydraulic conductance (Whitehead, 1998; Brodribb et al., 2007). Plant organs can be defined by their functional role as either net exporters (sources) or net consumers of carbohydrates (sinks) (Laporte and Delph, 1996; Neales and Incoll, 1968). The S:S hypothesis suggests that defoliation decreases source size while leaving sink demand relatively unchanged. Increased demand for carbohydrates from remaining leaves reduces end-product inhibition, which in turn increases the photosynthetic rates of the remaining leaves (Sweet and Wareing, 1966; Neales and Incoll, 1968; Layne and Flore, 1995). If whole-plant S:S relationships were driving photosynthetic responses to defoliation, increases in the rates of biochemical reactions of photosynthesis and changes in leaf-level carbohydrate concentrations might be expected. While increases in stomatal conductance (gs) might also occur, this would not be a key driver of photosynthetic responses. Evidence to support the S:S hypothesis at the whole-plant scale is not well documented. While increases in the rates of biochemical reactions of photosynthesis are commonly reported following defoliation"
Do I need to connect the dots, PK? My comment pertained to the credibility of mainstream sources, ones that you're quoting, for example. It had nothing to do with defol being a propaganda campaign, lol. You're smoking a little bit too much there... or reading what you want to read and ignoring the rest.
Yup keep them trimmed. People do it all the time with smart pots. Think about it, the roots grow through the smart pot and gets air pruned.Well, guess what I did last night? Tried something new! My dwc roots were HUGE and ate the airstone a few weeks ago. Guess what I did? I said fuck it and cut the fuckers off! The plant was looking like crap. Was expecting the worst, right? Well, I woke up to the plant looking 10x better than it has in weeks!! AND all PERKY as hell! I was going to scrap it last night and decided to give this a shot before I threw it away! Now it's fucking amazing looking! And I have before and after pics![]()
