Well, guess what I did last night? Tried something new! My dwc roots were HUGE and ate the airstone a few weeks ago. Guess what I did? I said fuck it and cut the fuckers off! The plant was looking like crap. Was expecting the worst, right? Well, I woke up to the plant looking 10x better than it has in weeks!! AND all PERKY as hell! I was going to scrap it last night and decided to give this a shot before I threw it away! Now it's fucking amazing looking! And I have before and after pics ;)

Also kinda funny how all the most "influential" mainstream sources for news turn out to be garbage propaganda machines. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it bears total authority on the subject. And, as you said yourself, the world's flat vs. round, theories change, as does the science, especially when what was once unknown is later revealed. Again, all should be taken with a grain of salt. We preach science like we are the architects, when science is simply the language used to understand and attempt to explain what we cannot on our own.
 
What propaganda would defoliation pertain to? There no products or companies or advertising agencies making money off giving growin and cultivation techniques unless one of these moron i can vision it now

Do I need to connect the dots, PK? My comment pertained to the credibility of mainstream sources, ones that you're quoting, for example. I dont quote anyone but myself. Everything i post is from MY experience in growing and cultivation over the past decade of doing grows. I dont care what any article, person or any thing anyone else says im giving MY experience with techniques such as defoliation (which i used to be against) until i started doing it about 3 years ago and i will selectively defoliate all ,y indoor crops for the mentioned reasons. I dont need to ride someones dick and tell ppl shit unless i know for a fact what its done for me. Other ppl may have diff experiences I been running same phenos for 5 years now and like ive mentioned a million times already defoliation is strain specific some phenos dont do well removing any leaves. But when running indica dominant hybrids like ones i run u need to defoliate when running scrog/sog and trellis style grows. The hw is done im giving my input on the topic and i said many articles from other people in the industry will agree that defoliation works and can drastically increase yields when done correctly. So it is what it is im not quoting or taking information from any source this is MY opinion on the subject.

And its controversial for a reason. Theres never gonna be a end all be all to growing theres so many methods techniques and diff ways to cultivate this is merely 1 in a bucket of a million. Its up to ppl to chose how they grow and whats works best for them im just letting ppl know that its a proven method that is beneficial to certain phenos and grows indoors.
 
Yup, my defoliated project is now going ape shit, I'm thinking the defoliation didn't really stunt it, I now think it was the root tangle that was stunting it. Roots fixed and now it's going crazy. 3" growth since 12 am
 
I'm glad when I'm wrong I can just admit it and move on instead of trying my best to prove how stupid I am.

Yup keep them trimmed. People do it all the time with smart pots. Think about it, the roots grow through the smart pot and gets air pruned.
