well for one you can't maximize your height like anchoring into the ceiling goes, light footprint can be wider or heightened . two the tent is harder to keep climate controlled than running a mini split or window mounted a/c. three the corners and sliding rails are made out of plastic pieces on the reg which break. forth you can't run your fans like you can when you mount them on a wall. fifth a dehumidifier needs a condensate pump to remove fluids through the top or you need to puncture the tent to run a gravity feed outlet (sometimes). sixth they cost a hundred or more dollars compared to zero dollars. seventh read the rest of the posts, eighth, your going to sell it when you outgrow it like we've all done. ninth, I'm not thinking of yet. those are a couple reasons i can think of, i can also thingk of some reasons why they are good, like the removable flood guard. but i think that the cons out weigh the pros with them, and i was trying to convince the op to go bigger, a foot is a foot.
