the best method is to use a microscope to check the "doneness" of the trichomes (pistils turning color is another indicator - though not always reliable).
here is a handy chart - if you like couch-lock - you'll probably be letting them go awhile longer - if you don't like couch-lock (like me) - you'll be harvesting soon (and trying some even sooner)!

Hi Kulan, ive bought masel a new camera since then. I actually tried with the old one again but im not given up yet. Ive had a busy nite moving the girls around. It was a splendid evening waltzing the girls gently around the groroom. I moved Generation A towards the door, what a hassle that was! Now i have Gen B 4 plants around the perimeter of the room. Its kind of like a house warming, official welcoming of the skunk plant and our old cousin crystal. They're proudly hogging the limelight centrestage until the next clones go in at the weekend. Ive only got space for 4, 4 been given away, 4 spare. Im gonna make sure and give them to someone who'll love them.

Update, Re-Organising
Moved plants to make space for next generation. 4 clones due in at weekend, New arrivals Skunk and Crystal flowering 7 days now.
Generation A is now sat at the door, I think ill call that particular bay of the loft death row. Heres the sativas. Any strain names anyone please.

Hi Cheetah, liking the new avatar mate. Im thinking I need to cut one down today. Lights are on at 5pm London so If I took one down just before lights on wd be good. Im going to leave the other one couple more days at least. Damn, you only cut once eh?

If I cut the stem on my plant, I cant say shit, I should have maybe left it a few more days. One cut so it needs to be at the right time.

Glad you called by Email. Im asking - will i regret cutting 1 plant down today? its been a while since posters were saying to hold back with the harvest. I think ive seen a lot of improvement since then, ie they're glowing white. Im conscious that i may already be in my harvesting window. please advise - if i need to wait, ill wait. All your opinions are valued

They look pretty white to me, certainly with the naked eye. Its harder to say with the loupe. Ima gonna have to wait for the lights to come on and TRY to take a pic. I tried trik pics before and it turned shit.
