So, this has got to be a rumor or something because Rick and Bill have never publicly said anything about changing their stances.....but then again, the feds weren't too vocal about ending funding in medical states either....

Either way, I said something online to the gov and the AG thanking them.

You thanked them? While your at it, might as well give them a hand job. They're trying to gain popularity so when they run for congress you like them and vote for them. Once they're in they'll put the screws to us and shut us down.

well, if it turns out to be that I am voting between a sales tax increase and recreational pot then, yes, I will give thanks.

Give them a hand job for changing their stances to reflect the overall will of the people? That doesn't make much sense. It sounds like you are trying to criticize me for supporting a politician's change from governing in favor of their own personal agenda to governing in favor of the will of the people.

If they support a ballot option for recreational pot in Michigan, then I will be more comfortable with their further political endeavors, but if they remain anti-pot or anti-medical marihuana, then I will not only not support them, I will actively support their opponents and do anything I can to work against them.

Read the site and see if you understand what is going on. potholesbill.com If you also think it might be the Gov and AG that I think it might be, then send them an email thanking them for providing this option....it seems like a real thing to me, so they should write back and say "No problem bud, after 4 years of strong prohibition I silently changed my stance and you heard about it not on the news, not in the papers, not on a .org, no, you heard it on rollitup.com first"

Pass on the message. This is happening if we show that as a public we are ok with it. People have to stop being anonymous and/or silent and tell them that we know about alcohol being more dangerous. Some of us would rather pay taxes on pot for our recreational drug.

Here's a link to a website on whale watching on Lake Superior: http://www.northshorevisitor.com/activities/whale-watching.html

I think I'm more likely to see a Lake Superior whale than see the day Bill Schuette supports recreational pot. However, I've felt for a long time, that if we tied tax revenue from recreational pot directly to road and school funding in a ballot initiative for 2016, our chances of it passing go up significantly. My guess is that the person who created this website is intentionally misinforming people but I could be wrong.

Im not trying to criticize you I just follow the facts. Our AG BS is married into the dow family. He has major stock in it. If you think for a second that hes going to empty his pocket to support legal cannabis then your sheep being led to the slaughter.

Exactly!

And besides, who's to say that "legal" pot will be any better for any of us. Once this drug can be capitalized on Corporate America will be a bigger nightmare to deal with than anything we've seen previously seen.

LOL, how much for a pump off?
I'm with Captain Ahab, before I'd believe the dow baby would give up that cash.

The Freak Power uprising of 1970. Ahh… where to begin. 1969 would probably be an ideal place to start. At this point in time I, along with many others, had become completely disillusioned with the state of American politics. It became clear to me that all politicians were the same and if I wanted to see any real change in this country, I’d have to do it myself. So in 1969 I created the Freak Power party and worked as the campaign manager to help elect Joe Edwards mayor of Aspen, Colorado.
We ran a very radical campaign. It was drastically different from anything you’d ever expect to see from more traditional political parties… but I’ll go into more detail about that soon. Anyway, it was a close race but in the end Edwards ended up losing by just 6 votes - not counting the 5 absentee ballots, all for Edwards, which arrived too late to count - which makes me feel to this day, that there was some sort of corruption behind the whole thing.
I had promised to run for sheriff the following year if Edwards had won… and even though he didn’t, it was so close that I decided to anyway. We ran on basically the same principles. We had run both campaigns completely out in the open. Our campaign headquarters was located at a local table in Jerome Tavern on Main Street. Anyone could see what we were doing, or even help out if they felt so inclined. There was complete transparency. We ran on a very basic set of principles which I’ve included below:

  1. Sod the streets at once. Rip up all the streets with jack hammers and use the junk asphalt (after melting) to create a huge parking lot and auto-storage lot on the outskirts of town.
  2. Change the name “Aspen” by public referendum to “Fat City.” This would prevent greedheads, land-rapers and other human jackals from capitalizing on the name “Aspen.”
  3. Drug sales must be controlled. My first act as Sheriff will be to install, on the courthouse lawn, a bastinado platform and a set of stocks—in order to punish dishonest dope dealers in a proper public fashion. Each year these dealers cheat millions of people out of millions of dollars.... it will be the general philosophy of the Sheriff’s office that no drug worth taking should be sold for money.
  4. Hunting and fishing should be forbidden to all non-residents, with the exception of those who can obtain the signed endorsement of a resident—who will then be legally responsible for any violation or abuse committed by the non-resident he has “signed for.”…. By this approach-making hundreds or even thousands of individuals personally responsible for protecting the animals, fish and birds who live here-we would create a sort of de facto game preserve, without the harsh restrictions that will necessarily be forced on us if these blood-thirsty geeks keep swarming in here each autumn to shoot everything they see.
  5. The Sheriff and his Deputies should never be armed in public. Every urban riot, shoot-out and blood-bath (involving guns) in recent memory has been set off by some trigger-happy cop in a fear frenzy.
  6. It will be the policy of the Sheriff’s office savagely to harass all those engaged in any form of land-rape. This will be done by acting, with utmost dispatch, on any and all righteous complaints.
I think I defined the Freak Power party best in one of my campaign posters - "This is the real point: that we are not really freaks at all — not in the literal sense — but the twisted realities of the world we are trying to live in have somehow combined to make us feel like freaks. We argue, we protest, we petition — but nothing changes." Despite this, we were still treated as freaks… so why not give the people what they want? I shaved my head (which can be seen in the picture above) and referred to my opponent, who sported a buzz cut, as “My long-haired opponent.” We actually gave those politicians quite a scare. So much so, that the Republicans and Democrats agreed to remove certain candidates from the race in order to “consolidate all Non-Thompson votes to one party.” My original thinking was that if I could drum up between 35 and 45 % of the vote, combined with the Republican Democrat split, I could win a plurality. Considering I only lost by 500 votes, this backroom deal could have damn well cost me the election. That, and the fact that I prematurely published my strategy for the campaign in Rolling Stone. That’s a mistake that I still, to this day regret. I’ll add a link to an excerpt of the article below. I would have included the whole thing but it seems that those bastards at Rolling Stone have fucked me. Read the post above this one for a full reaction to that.

Alright, let me just spell it out then because it obviously was not picked up on its own.

We are a nation of rumors. Rumors set policy. Rumors tank stocks. Rumors, rumors, rumors.

So yeah, I HEARD somewhere that both Rick and Bill were getting behind recreational pot. What, you didn't hear that somewhere? Pass it on.

I don't care if it's legal for recreational, for medicinal, for making paper, for shoving up my pooter, I'm just sick of their little system and I'd like to identify a way to mess with it.

So, again, yes I heard that this was legit. Didn't you? I saw some guy today walking from 14/woodward, down to the government building in clawson, down to the government building in Royal oak and all the way back up woodward carrying a cardboard sign that said "potholesbill.com" - and on the coldest day yet - homeboy must hope it's real. Didn't you hear? Buzz buzz buzz

sorry to break this to you but you don't get the job done in a snow bank. You have to create a special interest group and hire a lobbyist to live in dc and fight. One man in a snowbank will never work.

while I do appreciate the novelty of "one person cannot do anything" I prefer to believe that people are just afraid to speak. Oh, Dr. Pecker, how are you still not catching on?

I chose paved and cleared sidewalks to walk on and put in nearly 10 miles of straight up walking. Don't you ever try to trivialize my action in the face of persecution when you are just writing things online.

I plan to walk from Birmingham to Detroit - I can post the date on here if you want to join me, Pecker. First though, I have to walk all around Birmingham, make it to Bloomfield Hills, walk up and down Telegraph, go hit Madison Heights, possibly hang some contraband signs made from bedsheets over key billboards. Make a sign and do something if you are not just a propaganda machine likely hiding behind the guise of 'social media coordinator' or something. You are certainly right though, as long as only one person is going out and physically saying "hey, no matter what you do, I'm not hiding online anymore", then this will never be real.

420, I commend your commitment and sacrifice. Stencils and paint last a while and go up fast, I've seen banners/bedsheets on crosswalks over I-75.

until you see 'one guy in a snowbank' as a disrespectful summation of what has been said here.....forget it, I guess I'll use the name you earned through your education and continually earn through your demeanor.

You're the same guy that scoffed at the idea of meeting up with me when I offered to give you a (free) clone of a high cbd plant.... Saying that you would never meet up with some random stoner/loser from a pot web site.

Have you had a change of heart on this stance of yours?

you wanted to beat me up and claimed to be an ex NHL player.

Yes, I have. Anyone who wants to beat me for my views, please do so and I will use any resulting attention to further my agenda. Yes, I am willing to take multiple beatings to further my point. No, I do not want to take cannabis from someone I don't know. Yes, I will meet with any strangers willing to be a one time sojourner for truth on a walk from Birmingham to Detroit...but probably not back, that would be really long walk just to show that it is time to be public. It's ok if that doesn't answer your question, I am becoming versed in doublespeak just in case I go political.

there was a reference to getting my shit pushed in....a little homo-erotic, but I got the drift of it and decided that you had not really passed my initial screening for instigating following a cannabis offer - buzzer noise, don't trust @stowandgrow
