electronic ballast help !!!!!

Hi guys new to the forum looking for some advice here I have got a 1000 watt electronic ballast switchable ballast 600 watt hps bulb and 600 watt my bulb used this ballast last year no problem but now not working with new lights any thoughts suggestions (on how to fix )

there are a difference in bulbs .. there are digital and standard.. you said new lights ? what do you mean by new lights?? magnetic ballast will only light standard bulbs.. digital bulbs will have a small electronic circuit board in the base.. digital ballast will not light a standard bulb.. pics will help..

Not quite understanding you test with another proper bulb.

The HPS bulbs are interchangeable. No circuit board. Most older HPS bulbs are designed to work on a mag ballast (low frequency). Using an older or low frequency HPS bulb in a digital ballast will work, but most likely fail prematurely. Metal Halide pulse and probe start is a different story.

Cant use a 1000w ballast for a 600w setup
Some but not all digital ballasts you can.
