Hello RUI community,

I was just wondering if these 2 females look okay and any ideas or suggestions that I could use to improve my grow under my circumstances, would be highly appreciated! Atm I don't have the ideal set up, as I'm currently in construction of my new grow room and fridge grow box.(Friend who has his own grow room is guiding and helping me). I probably did the most stupid thing and I just jumped in and started "trying" to grow a couple plants. In the last few weeks I have been trying to learn the basics as I guess you guys would call it. I should also add that I'm going away in 4 weeks for around 2 months not to sure if I will have the time to finish my grow room projects, my brother will try and take care of the plants as he has a friend that grows a few that will help him out. Also I live in Australia so this makes it hard for easy access to preferred soils, nutes ect.. As it's illegal here -.-.
So a bit of info on these 2 little ones is:

1xRoyal Queen-Quick one-(Auto) (Fem)

1xBomb seed THC (Auto) (Fem) (BOB-THC-FA)

Germinated both seeds in glass of water, I think this took around 48hours until germinated.

Tomato Florida Basket - germinated seed placed in the provided container with the medium.(Mr.Fothergills) is the brand.

Bomb germinated seed was placed in tomato kit on the 8/1/15, on the 19/1/15 I transplanted the plant into a larger pot. Not sure what size it is measured in gallons, but you might be able to tell from plant photos.

The soil I used is not great and I know it's not recommended but I couldn't find anything at my local hardware or nursery without slow release nutes! Would of flushing the soil a couple of times help get rid of the nutes :/?
Anyway soil is osmocote premium.

Bit embarrassed to show you my setup atm, but here it is.

Obviously this is not ideal, just one of my silly moments haha.
I keep good air flow as well and temp stays around 26 degrees Celsius or 78f. Humidity stays around 50%-60% :/.

Light I'm using atm:

Now for a couple photos of the plants :).

Today's photos. She also has some slight discolouring on a couple leaves. Started germination on the 6/1/15

All comments, advice and suggestions are very much appreciated! Thank you all :D

Not fermillier with them strains but keep us posted. Goin to have to get 2700k light if you keep using flouresents for flowering, well mabye not with early autos though. The only early plant ive had experience with was the iranian short season.aka iranain auto flower. But I grew it outdoors.....

Looking good so far actually. Nothing to be all slashy faced about :) Some people use slow release pellets in their soil, well one good grower on here anyways. Soil could be better but hey if it's working, cool.

Do not take offence at what Iam about to say
1 autos u start them in a min 3 gal pot
Second auto need next to no nuts entil about half way through flower
Third never transplant autos
They do not have the time to adjust
Beside that they look healthy enough

They look good.
If the soil is not burning them then it's fine to use.

Some say not to transplant autos. I say that if you transplant right there is no shock to the plant.

Take what you read here with a grain of salt.

Do what your doing and learn from experience.

Oh and with time release the more you water the .ore they release. Stay on the lighter side of watering.

You can cut the bottoms out of the cups and stick it in a pot of soil to save shock.

True, I've tansplanted and they looked droopy for like 1 day is all, it was my first time even. Gentle with that root ball is all. Cup thing is a decent idea too.

Could anyone recommend the correct CFL for flowering :D.
Farmerfischer recommends 2700k would any one disagree? As I should buy one more sooner than later.
Thanks again guys really grateful for all your help! :D

1 day of droopyness prob 1 week slower growth with a auto that can be the difference from 1 oz to 5 in yield

I agree with u on only take what u want from this forum I've done countless hours researching auto and have grow them very successfully 12 oz from 4 plant under. 400w hps
And it all the little things with auto that make a vast difference 1 mistake can Massivly impact ur yield

Ok a autos is not ur normal weed strain and grow differently they grow a tap root very fast and the bigger the pot the faster and deeper they can get before flower bigger yield u will get saying transplanting don't hurt has nothing to do with transplant shock a small pot is a small tap root it hit bottom of pot u transfer it and it will stop growing again concentrate on getting deeper or it won't get deeper at all and then u have a stunted auto

Ok thanks for that I will take that on board! With the Bomb THC I transplanted, the roots hadn't even really hit the bottom of the cup and I was a bit worried. Would this help in this case because the roots hadn't reached the cup pretty much or is this now a problem? :/ hope that makes sense. :)

Just another little update.
I transplanted the royal queen seedling into a larger pot this afternoon. Today was very hot and plants suffered a little bit from the heat today. Apart from that I think every thing looks alright, not perfect but alright. What do you guys think?

Plants still look good. Hopefully you transplanted at a good time and end up with plenty of bud. Sometimes timing is everything with our girls. Be careful with the water in those bigger pots.
