This is so easy and so good I had to share this…The ONLY thing you need is a bit of planning. I mix mine before I go to bed. Take about 5 minutes to throw in a bowl to rise. Flexible rise times.

Turns out a very rustic bread that is no hassle and no kneading. This bread is the BOMB

5 ingredients, 2 simple rises, baked in a dutch oven. Turns out like a bakery loaf, sort of Tuscan Italian round, rustic bread. Recipe below. Ignore her blathering at the beginning. Scroll about midway down for the "cook's illustrated' recipe in the middle of the article.

That beginning bit is a serious discussion of the superiority of Le Crueset cookware - not blather - except for the part about wanting them in pink when "flame" is so badass.

Thanks for the recipe. I will try it out.

Let me know how it turns out. YOur wife will be impressed (unless you normally cook, but even then it's BREAAAADDDD) super good warm with butter on it. Is there anything better? I've got some in the oven right now and it smells so goooooood

I haven't cooked a lof since my sourdough starter got tossed out. But I was thinking about starting a new one. Been a long time. Problem is, we get decent enough bread here for little enough money to make baking unnecessary. Likewise, beer. Weed however...

@Hookabelly now try it as a pizza. Everyone goes nuts for this recipe: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2013/01/foolproof-pan-pizza-recipe.html Though I recommend cooking it at 375, which gives the crust time to brown on the bottom before the cheese burns.
That looks good but too thick for mah Hookabelly! If I ate a slice of that my belly would be like dough LOL. Can you roll it thinner? Or does it just end up all floppy?

Sounds pretty good. Seems like an incredibly small amount of yeast but I guess the addition of beer may have to do with it. Thanks :)
I know. But it works. I think it is the vinegar too.

My bread making ceased once the little one was born. Loved me a good sourdough. I think I have an Amish Friendship Bread recipe over in the cooking subforum. Was thinking of making some peanut butter cookies soon or something. Hmmm

Just made a batch of chocolate crinkles. Now I'm on a cookie bender. Next: Snickerdoodles
