The finished bud pics are dna training day female crossed with grand daddy purple Ken Estes candyland male.done last winter and first run finished a few weeks ago.have another run in the works now to cross again to start to stabilize two out of four phenos .has a mild piney lemon to it.purple and green phenos are slightly different in smell.

ya i guess im more wondering if the male traits to look for would be things like plant structure, hieght, coloring and leaf shape. rather than potency, odor, and flavour.
does the flower location on a male plant give an indication to the budsites on a female plant of the same phenotype?

You are on the right track bc.what you like in the females look for in the males,height,branching,leaf color size and shape.a strong ,healthy and same appearance male should be perfect match to female of same traits if you want to isolate and stabilize those traits.Hope that helps

No,usually the second to third should do it and maybe more.depends on how many phenos you start with and how you select the male and female.takes time and very important to pay attention to your phenos.

thanks marco but i just do it my way not saying it is the right way but seems to work for me and i get the strains to do what i want after several back crosses with the same phenos it takes several times before they are all stable and consistant and using proven stable strains for parents is a major plus also

the next seed project is moved into the seed room lol.. be using the ben johnson ( first male under 18 hr light that presexed) for the male the begining of some early strains for our short season here .

ben johnson
purple pineberry
pineapple chunk
green poison
red dragon
sea level
