Aero Cloning but No Roots...?!

i Have the clone king and have it about 12-18" from 3 - 23w cfls (had 4 but just took out 1 thinking it to be the problem...) and just rain water, it has been about 5 days... No roots so far. Keep waiting? Too much light? Nutrients? because they are looking like they may want some Nutrients...

Trick is the stems need to be getting wet. Do NOT dome them. Use chlorinated tap water. Change it every 5-6 days. Thats it. They work.

You cant have your water temps getting too high though. Diabolical is right about that. Cloners on the floor usually stay cool enough even in a warmish room/tent.

Yeah i need to check and make sure my water temperature is alright... how high is Too high? and thanks AlphaPhase i hope you are right! oh and dia, they don't look sick they are just looking a little lighter green in the new growth areas...

What is your water temp and ph? What is your ambient temp and RH? You should be around 70° w/ a ph near 5.7, 75° canopy temp rh of 70%. Have fun.
I Need to get a barometer or whatever measure humidity... my pH is just straight rain water but it's like 7.3-7.6... i Will had some Apple Cider Vinegar and lower it... my Temperature in canopy is probably more like 80 degrees... thanks for the help i will let you know what the water temperature is.

No problem - Also roots take longer if water temps are low. Check the stems and make sure there's no slime or mushy stems- if all is fine you have nothing to worry about. I use tap water like someguy mentioned.. No dome. And I just change the water once after my clones are finished. To be safe, I use pool shock (chlorine) to kill anything that might grow in there. The lighter green growth is normal, no nutes needed unless you want to add 1/5 strength bloom nutes (some people do, I don't), water temps about 75 is perfect but I let mine get to about 80 because I use chlorine

Constant operation of the pump will increase the temp of your water. If you get a CAP ART recycle timer you can set it to go off less frequent & keep the water cool & allow a bit more air to get to them which will make them root faster. Also helps to take nice long clones that hang down a few inches below the plug or neoprene inserts what have you. I had same issues but this was the key for me. A healthy clone will root in 5 days or so in my aerocloner if I use root tone & set my timer to 1 min on 5 mins off -hope that helps

ive had it take from 6 - 14 days so far. I run mine for an hour, every 4 hours. straight tap water works fine, a lil bit of nutes never hurt either in my case. just wait it out, the magic will happen

Thanks so much.! I definitely will be putting a timer to it! Should it be minute intervals or hour? Or half hour? Because I have it running all day and night! My water temperature is 86F. Of course I left off pump and i killed most of the cuttings. Got new ones going... Thanks so much for the advice everyone. ... also I Did lower my pH to 5.6 or so and it made a world of difference, just a capful of access in 5 gallons.

Right on, glad you're on the right track to cloning now. I may have to adjust my ph to see if it does make cloning a little quicker. I'm getting 100% roots in 5ish days with 7.9ph and 82 degrees at the moment, would be great to get roots a day or two less :)

a timer that goes in half hours is fine. on every 3 or 4 hours for an hr at a time seems to be adequate. might b able to get away with just a half hour. Just play around with it untill ur satisfied.

I Am afraid that would be too long of a dry period...? I like the 1 minute on 3 minutes off or maybe 1/2hr on 1 1/2hr off? If you can guarantee they won't die at 1hr - 3 hr then I will do it... Or maybe 1hr - 2hr...?

damn that is exactly what I want! I wouldn't change anything! I hope the timer is the trick...
