hey guys this is my first post, and i didnt see much in search, but....will the plants be sensitive or acknowledge the 850 nm wavelength emitted from the infrared led's. these would be used to monitor grow via camera. any info would save me some money so i dont buy them, thanks!

I don't know about the ir, but check out supercircuits.com they have cameras with the IR built in for less than 30

Hi I am also desperately seeking the answer to this question, and have scoured the net doing so. I just can't seem to find a simple yes or no. I see indications that it could be beneficial (inducing flowering, elevating Pfr levels) but then I read that the lack of this light is what tells the plant the night cycle has begun. Also, all the research seem to target 600-700 nm, no mention of 850 is ever given.

Many charts seem to indicate that 850 nm is outside of the spectrum that plants can see, but I really don't want to mess this up. Similarly, I don't want any theft to occur.

Does anyone have Ed's phone number????? :)

Thanks so much!!
Jason
