Ive got four girls almost 6 weeks into flower. Two under led and two under hps. One of the led girls is already showing brown trichs?? A good amount of them. All the rest are still pretty clear...

how might this happen?

post a pic. A lot of strains will show amber trichs early and they're not even close to done. Have the orange / brown hairs receded into the calyx? Or are the hairs still long and bushy so to speak?

That is the thing...hairs have not receded yet. They are still white fat and happy....lol

I just never ran across this before. In fact, i have rarely run into amber/brown trichs at all. I waited 11 weeks once for that on some 8 week northern lights...

Suppossed to be indica dom, but two of them seem to be very very sativa....the one in question seems very sativaish
sativas can take much longer and have a larger harvesting window than indicas. indicas tend to amber really fast once they start , but keep an eye on your baby , see if the ambering doesn't get to dense, maybe its just a few , is she still fattening up the buds ? do you see alot of new calyxs ?

The calyxs are just starting to really get going now. So i think she certainly has a couple more weeks before she is ready, i figure...just going by that and the pistils...

Im going to poke around with the loupe a bit more and see if it was just the couple leaves that i checked or if it is consistent all around... i shouldve done that first...

Just startled by seeing amber so early....

Just looked and it isn't an isolated thing. While there isn't as much amber on other leaves there is a bit all around....

Ya...the leds drink anx transpire slower. So the buds are smaller. But i think the led is far more economical.
