20150224_155842.jpg 20150224_155849.jpg I'll vent it into the wall. I still have to set up the air cooled light and my intake... I'll use 1 more in line fan and buy a splitter....maybe some pbc so I can cap it drill holes into it and run it across the floor of my tent...

What tent do you have?

Would you know any brands that are legit but cost efficient?
I have a sun hut it's a cheap tent but I got it for free along with that light and the filter and the ballast...I actually got 3 ballastts..and 1000 watt light fixtures and some fox farm nutes...for practically free.. I paid a qp for all of it...I used to grow in a room...first time in a tent...As far as tents go I know the secret Jardines are highly praised

photo seeds can .......auto seeds can not

a photo seed u can grow it in one gallon for a while then move to a 5 7 gallon and grow it longer since u have control of the growth time ....called transplanting

a auto seed it is best to plant it in the final container right from the start as it whole life is genetically driven so it will flip into flowering on it own

ok your system just to make sure u are good for my own personal sound mind
1 that pic of extraction
2 the fan should be mounted on the wall u keeping a strait line as possible
3 your carbon filter should be hooked to front of your hood (reverse the way u hung it carbon filter)
carbon ducting hood ducting fan ducting ejection point
4 u have a window there u have a ejection point u just need camo and thanks to Portable AC u do

frist one is for 2 vents

I definatly need to mount that fan....Why is running the exhaust and air cooling the lights separately bad in your opinion? ... I was thinking fresh air will keep the bulb cooler it gets hot here instead of using the hot air in the tent...I've ran it the way you were explaining in the past works well but I was really trying to keep the bulb as cool as possible. ..Thank you for the help man I really appreciate it... what are your thoughts on air cooling the lights and running the exhaust separately. ..i wanted to use a splitter to run air from outside the tent into the light . And also to bring fresh air to the bottom of my tent...wwhat's the negative side of my idea besides having to run 2 in line fans .. I'm OK with paying an extra 25 bucks a month if it keeps my temperature stable..

besides your power cost go up from the extra fan along with your sound lvl......u are adding outside variables to the tent mold fungi pollen from a weed plant plus bugs

the method i tell u keeps the tent with negative pressure no smell escapes plus u are always drawling in air from your house (home air can be 2 times the natural Co2 lvls this is better air for the plant not much but something) ....along with making the tent temps controllable that system should only run u a total of 10 degrees or less different ........this lowers the cooling cost later

and finally the big one ...........Hot glass bulb cold damp night air POP .........hot glass and RH high with temps cold just throw the money out the window on cost of bulbs and u are not a 1000w be happy

your not keeping the bulb cool ...your keeping the air around the plants cooler by removing the IR heat build up from the air and lessening the IR heat that travels out

think of a pot of water let it just start to boil if u stir it around it stops .........this is the same thing u are doing by passing that amount of air over the bulb

I would love to vent it out using that ac window vent kit...that's awesome. ..it's all bad with my neighbor though will the carbon filter really get rid of the smell. ..or should I vent it into the wall?

go out the window and dump the air outside of your recycle path

the carbon filter will more then cover the smell if it is a good filter and correctly matched to the fan ....last u 12/15 months

to go out the window just make sure the shades are down as much as they can .....i am paranoid but i live in a high traffic area for choppers i would IR proof the ceiling and maybe the walls

Cutting holes in your wall is very easy to do. Get a drywall hand saw at HD (they're inexpensive). It'll have a sharp point. Put the sharp point on a spot where you want to start cutting and use the palm of your hand to get the blade into the drywall. They you just cut. After you put whatever it is in the hole, use some caulk with a caulking gun to create a seam around the edge to blend it to the wall so you don't have any gaps showing. Save the cutout piece in case you want reverse it later. Then it's as simple as using a board for a backplate and screwing the old piece back in place. Then caulk it and maybe use a little spray texture to conceal the cut.

These kinds of instructions can easily be found on home improvement forums

Doesn't make much difference if you push or pull the air. Some people say putting the fan post-light will heat up the fan, but it probably doesn't make much difference.

Don't get one of those home depot booster fans. They're crap and will not cool properly. Look on amazon for inline fans from can fan, hurricane, etc. Just search for 6" inline fans and you'll see them. You will also see fan/filter combos. Those are usually a good deal. Consider getting a fan controller because you may not need to run it on full all or even part of the time. You can get them for $20 on amazon. When these fans are at their max they can get loud. You can also get a fan muffler that will help a lot with the noise.

If you use the corner of the room to start then you already have two of your walls built. Less building = less cost and work. Having it enclosed can get more light to the outside plants because you can use mylar to reflect light back onto the plants. There are benefits and downsides to each but I would go with an enclosure rather than the whole room unless you are planning on using the whole room to grow.

Try to get your intake as low as possible. Warm air rises. Even if you use some duct tubing to extend the intake to ground level it will help.

Hope that helps
Hay i have a question do u need ventilation if you have 2 nice size windows.i have my plants in a big room infront of a sliding glass door and with a fan and a simple light but i have 2 big window.
