Total noob, but I think its heat stress

hi all, first grow.
Ingot some funky baggie seeds. So i decided to grow them. Now that she came up, it seems she's showing signs of heat stress. I was using a 150w halogen plant light. Her leaved started to turn yellow and get crunchy, so I switched her to 3 60w CFL's giving off 900 lumens each. Her leaf color is returning to green, but the edges of the leaves are still curled up. I'm pretty sure its just residual heat stress, but is there any way to soothe her? I know its not too hot in there. It's about 75. I wait until the soil is completely dry before watering again. I read somewhere about kelp helping plants under stress, but I wasn't sure if that was accurate. Can anyone diagnose what's hurting her (if its not heat) and how to fix it? Indoor closet grow.

Man... DO NOT USE HALOGEN LAMPS... they are HIGHLY inefficient AND the wrong spectrum. Get yourself some 65w CFL's (actual wattage, NOT "equivalent bullshit" ). If you have a little bread, go to amazon or e-bay and check out their HID (HPS/MH) systems. Throw that Halogen piece-of shit away ! :hump: - OR... use it for what it's good for... ROOM LIGHTING -

I haven't cut any off. Like I said its a weird plant. I have a leaf that's like mutated. I'm using the 3 CFL's now. I threw away that halogen.
Might be ruderalis, the smooth serrations are indicative, or just came off of a stressed plant.

Definitely get some squiggly CFLs, your power company probably will give you some for free.

Here's all the info you need rt now : You need to strive for @ least 50w sq/ft of lighting (in the correct spectrum). Figure out your growing area, and then you will know how much light you need to provide. (I run a 400w HPS in a 2x3' space covered in reflective material). 8)

For your sake, lets hope it's a female. I always start several seeds (If regular), to make sure I get some females. :leaf:

yeah I have those squiggly ones. I'm using a high gloss white paint for all my surfaces. The floor has a tarp on it that's also a shiny white. My area is 2x5x2.5. With 3 60w CFL's with reflective surfaces around the plant, it should be enough, right? The CFL's are soft white. My lights are only about 2-3 inches from the top if the plant now. It got leggy because the halogen was so hot that I kept it far away. The new growth is nice and bunched together.

A couple of drops of super thrive might help them out. Dont listen to these tards kid. Theyll do just fine if you keep the lights closer, meaning theyll stop stretching so much. Theyre getting close to topping height too. Thatll help slow them down and open them up.

Thank you! That's so helpful! When do you recommend topping? And do you do a single or multiple top?

@LightEmUp925 The more lumens the better. You want your plant to stay stocky and not reach for the sky. More horizontal growth is better than vertical grow unless you have the rooms. I would try to get it in a container or something. Halogens are just bad news bears. I believe not good for the eyes too.

You should add 3 to 1 ratio for example if your in the Veg state. Do 3 6500k to 1 2700k. While in the bloom, 3 2700k to 1 6500k. I did the 60 day William wonders on that ratio works great. The more lighting as I always say is better.

Yes you can top it multiple times. It will be fine, dont get too carried away because you dont have a lot of light to offer her. You can top the first time anywhere between 2 and six nodes. Check unclebens topping technique or mainlineing by nugbuckets for some good topping info. I dont recommend mainlineing for your first time around but youll learn something from both of those whopper threads. Topping will make her grow like a minora, that jewish thingamajig, instead of a christmas tree. Which is good for scroging your plants ;)
