You forgot a verb there Di…. LOL

So you come up with the 'old' subject and *I* am the first person you think of eh? LOL yeah and I'm cranky too.

What about Mrs. Howell, Ginger and Mary Anne? Anyway I found them all annoying and would have deep-sixed them and BBQ'ed as required.
NOOOO! I'm sorry! I just thought of you both b/c you're women. And you can add Ginger and Maryanne to the mix too. Oh and let's not forget dear Lovey…

I'd wipe out the entire island and run off with one of those snazzy headhunters that are always so masculine.

Precisely! Although it's nice to know there were other options often my go to is BBQ. I love BBQ. Do not worry at all about the age. You could not pay me to be younger now. I look at the struggle our children/grandchildren are having and frankly I'd rather not. It was hard enough in my time and these youngsters have quite the load on their back.

During our generational watch we allowed the corporate take over to finish. We have guaranteed our children will have to definitively deal with it. I was alive to see the pinnacle of the new Roman Empire and the beginning of the decline.

I'm curious about the answer but probably not enough to pay the price for admission.

i agree with that ,when i was coming up parents in those days just had kids for farm hands 10 in my family ,but all shit a side when i moved out at 14 yrs old i realized how good i had it ,life was and still a mother fucker .they weren't so damned dumb after all
Same here , i watched my father spend every hour god gave him working double overtime , not just to support us but to have a large saftey net in the bank incase there was another depression , he started working in coal mines at 7 yrs old , he told my storys from his youth where all 6 kids slept in a single bed , explained how dinner most nights was poke salad , for those too young poke salad is made from dandy lion leaves & whatever other edible vegetation they could scrounge with bacon grease poured over the top .

We had 3 freezers in our basement when i was a kid , one filled with beef , another for pork & the 3rd for poultry , my mother had a full acre vctory garden & canned hundreds of jars of fruits & vegetables along with preserves , they wanted to be sure we could eat for a full year without money .

I remember eating a baked chicken that was freezer burned so bad the fukin thing looked blue but it tasted good , i left home at 13 & was working full time at 14 & realizing how easy i had it at home .

People arent like that now days , most live paycheck to paycheck with minimum savings & use credit to live beyond their means & give little thought twords the what if's in life .

My parents generation worked from sun up to sun down & never pissed anything away except their lives from working 90 hrs a week .

Or the Addam's Family, loved those stupid shows.

Oh man the Adams family was fantastic ! Morticia was hot in that skin tight dress & Gomez pulling out pre light cigars from his pocket while standing on his head or blowing up trains ,how cool was that , uncle Festers goofy ass eating nails & lighting light bulbs , Lurch over in the corner playing the shit out of his 14th century. harpsichord, too cool .

Yrs back we named one of our guard dogs Pugsley after the son on that show .

Oh wow,,,yes he was a reporter, always covering the unexplainable ,,kinda like scully and mulder only not aliens,,I just watched that HoLE episode ,,,Carl was great,,it was the Vampire 1 hour 14 minute special,,awesome oldies
Keep on Growin
HoLE
My favorite Night Stalker was were Kolchack was after the modern version of the headless horseman .

They had that dude riding a Triumph Bonniville with the worst costume that gave him a 6ft torso , he'd ride around that Triumph lopping fukers heads off .

I think the special effects budget was $100 a show , they borrowed the costume from Sigmond & the Sea Monster & made a swamp creature out of it & chased Kolchack all over , i think he killed it with kosher salt :)

Shit man sounds like we were neighbors , i lived in an old couples loft above their garage for over a year, it really wasnt all that bad either & i know they knew i was there , it was an old black couple & she'd " store extra canned food & blankets on their garage shelves " i knew she left the stuff there for me.

The old man had a Studebaker Hawk he only drove on sundays to take them to church , while they were gone i'd sneak their old wards push mower out & mow their lawn & hurry up n put everything back before they got home , they had an old hand wringer washer out back & at night i'd use their garden hose & bar soap to wash the few clothes i had & wring them out .

I had a cash job at a junk yard where i got paid by how many parts i pulled off cars for customers , they had an old utility shower at the junk yard i'd shower in after work , i made from $5 to $20 a day depending on work load & made about $70 a week .

Looking back i really wish i'd of stayed long enough to get more of an education , i only went thru about 30 days of the 7th grade before i left & woulda loved to finish school .
