Damn that's harsh.. They did the same things to left-handers toomy father went to catholic school and he got beat down by the nuns... shit his aunt was one of them. this was in the late 60's when he first started school until about his sophomore year of high school, when he transferred schools to play football. he saw a nun yank out a chunk of a kids hair, got the beat down with a yard stick
because leftys are worse than gingers....Damn that's harsh.. They did the same things to left-handers too
And did`nt it Hurt !!! We had a 4 foot Cane as well and they Both put tears into your eye`s no matter how tough you were.no paddle at my shcool..we had "THE STRAP" lol a leather peice that is self explanitory
yeah they made you feel like a POW lol...that shit hurtAnd did`nt it Hurt !!! We had a 4 foot Cane as well and they Both put tears into your eye`s no matter how tough you were.
WHat does the principal do these days? text you and tell you have a detention? lolListen to all you old farts... You sound like your Grandparents!
"Mehhhh, I used to walk fiddy mile to school in hail... Was uphill both ways. And back then we didn't get boots! We just tied small mammals to our feet and hoped they didn't squirm to much."
Really though, the best was building ridiculously large jumps for our bikes or GTs, damn near killing ourselves on them, and then doing it all over.
we had the same big stick, it certainly did hurt but the worse thing was the waiting two get it, my teachers trold you a day in advance, so you had time to think about itAnd did`nt it Hurt !!! We had a 4 foot Cane as well and they Both put tears into your eye`s no matter how tough you were.

one of the best things we used to do is build bikes out of busted ones, one wheel bigger than the other huge chopper style bars, as long as you could ride it, it was bodged onListen to all you old farts... You sound like your Grandparents!

i remember most of those eleven year myselfi fit somewhere between '67 and '79 because of how i act and my lifestyle.
you've hit the nail on the head too much technologyDUDE, it was the shit, going out in my bike with my brother and not come back till freaking 10 pm everyday... We would take our 4 wheeler out the ranches and ride all day then make a fire and cook some hotdogs on some sticks! WE would grab our .22 caliber and go out rabbit hunting and fishing and gutting our catch to eat that same night. Man those were the days!! Kids now are wayyyyyy into technology and games and the web! So much so, that they have no clue what to do in the great outdoors..
Its funny when i see a dude on the side of the road with a flat tire and just staring at the tire hoping it will change itself! What a fucking douche! I remember i was sooo plastered once, i got a flat in my toyota car, im a big guy so i really couldnt get under the car, so i jacked it up on some old weightlifting plates and bam, changed that fucking tire fast! I was by myself mind you...
SO to conclude, i really did enjoy my childhood and thank my father for being rough and tough with me and my bro since we were small kids... We learned to do just about everything a man should know what to do, So to us dudes from those years, go out, smoke one, and go hunting, ima do that in awhile, gotta pass on the traits to our younger generations, if not, i think it is a wasted life...
yeh tree climbing, there wasn't a tree in our neighbourhood that hadn't had half a dozen kids up it at some point, i can't remember the last time i saw a kid climbing a treeafter breakfast (if we had it) my mother would open back door and say dont come back til dinner. tree climbing, ball thowing, bike riding fun. helmut, what the fuck is that? we threw every thing we could get our hands on at cars.when is the last time you heard of a kid thowing something,'cept a tantrum? kids go outside and complain it's to sunny or theirs bugs, well i'll give-em something to cry about!!
