You guys are missing the most important thing, HER side of the story.
Maybe her side is completely different, who knows.

He may be legal to grow in his state, but it is still a federal penalty for possesion and/or cultivation. All it takes is one arrest and your record/future can get fucked!

25 a month for a 1000w? Mine went up 30 from a 400w and some fans.

It maybe a snakeish thing but that chick seems a little sketchy herself.....i'ma call the cops if you don't give me pot? She could be taking advantage of this guy and about the lights refer to my last post. I agree about the lights but she's going a little overboard with 5.0

:peace:
yea thats true, idk these people are just fucked up:-| I wouldn't want to know either of them...but still he should at least give her lights back. Yeah I guess they're both in the "wrong" shes probably using him for bud and he's trying to steal lights...

She must not be much of a friend if you didn't just split it with her and get it over with, once and for all.
How many grams are we talking about here? Why are you dealing with unstable people in the first place?

I would give her her meds if she was a card holder I have legal rights to do that but she has no card so I would be giving her meds against the law and she could turn me in for that. She hasnt gotten her card for reasons I dont know. I gave her all the information to get it done over 3 months ago. She broke the agreement so in my eyes she is out

he says right here he'd hook her up if she upheld her end. keep assuming though.

so all those things negate the money she put into it? yank yank. she bought the lights in return for some weed. He isn't even gonna give her the lights back. he stole the lights. he took advantage of her. he said the only way he could reimburse her is with medicine. He is stealing lights any way around this. I love how everyone is defending a thief but it's ok he has a card he doesn't have to play fair since he has a card. he acts like he can't grow some more after this harvest. I mean she bought the lights for him right?
She bought the lights in return for weed with the stipulation she obtained a medical marijuana card. She didn't hold up her end of the bargain.

If you reserve a hotel suite and say you will stay there. They say "ok but you need to put this amount down that will be givin back after the room is vacated and there is no damage ect. Now if you never show up to that room and never call them to cancel they will charge you the full amount that was dicussed and keep the deposit. You break a contract, your bad.

He didn't steal the lights, it was part of the contract.

Plus say he were to give her some dope. She goes out and gets busted for having a O of dank. In order cover her ass she says hey i got it from this guy.....he's got a whole grow op going.
Not only does he lose his card but his house, kids, animals, cars, life.

If you don't mind me asking how old are you?

I agree the deal was broken.
However, you need to return her lights.

The agreement was that he would reimburse her with the buds on the condition she had her medical card. She did not, he does not have to reimburse anything now. This is a cut and dry. He should return the lights promptly.

Case closed.

From his initial post, he doesn't seem to be willing to return the lights. He said she was going to report the property stolen, why would she do that if he was going to give them back? He is looking for everyone to tell him it is okay to keep the lights since the deal was broken by her.
He needs to give those lights back.

BINGO!
She wants bud and he feels justified.
I'd like to hear her side but the whole situation is wierd. I'd still like to know why Tokin has a card.....that really could explain a lot.

Oh I don't mind shareing my meds but I am not giving anyone that isnt carded any amount to walk out of my house with. I could give the lights and fan back but she bought them for me and the only way I could reemburse her was meds if she kept her end of the deal. I feel bad for her and have encouraged her often to get her card fast I have even called the Dr to make sure what dates they where going to be in our town and gave her all the times and dates. I have been the only friend since she moved here that was abel to get her hook ups through others and always went out of my way to help her out in that matter.
Well fdd I'd say that that sentence right there says he isn't giving her lights or money he got something for nothing but it's ok he has a card

all she has to do is get her card. simple enough.
Like I said we do not know her side. Maybe she went to the DR. and she can't get a card. Maybe she is an Alien. We do not have all the facts.
If he is so worried about her going to the cops then he should just return to her the lights and fans and be done with her. END OF STORY.

There are two issues at hand here: Contractual agreement, and what is legally known as "unjust enrichment".

They made a contract with their verbal agreement. She did not entirely fulfill her end of the deal, but, in good faith, paid for his equipment. He is now saying that because she didn't completely fulfill her obligations that he's going to keep the lights. That is, in the eyes of the law, unjust enrichment. She must be repaid for the lights for this to be fair. Which just happens to be exactly what Mr. fdd is saying.
