Help!! What is the cause of this??

Here are a few clones that looked great be4 i moved them to the vegitative table..

Leafs are looking highly mutated and rounded, extreamly bright green, and look like plastic fakes.. Not the typical 7 pattern but alot of 3 to 5's..

Question is this... Is this from overwatering? lack of Mg? Heat? not enough root ball be4 i transfered to 4" cubes?

First pic is of a clone that was getting strait water. Other 2 were rooted in a plug and transfered to 4" cubes, and are recieving half strength nutrient solution running around 470ppm at 5.9 Ph. The mother plant is receiving the same drip and looks fine...

Questions, comments?? Plz help me out :)

Other than that they don't look classically like mj, they look fine to me. I don't grown hydro, but they look alright (I actually like the shininess of their leaves).

are you running a uvb lamp? sometimes plants build up a thick shiny cell wall to protect it from uvb rays

Its a 200w compact fluorescent 6400K Full Spectrum Daylight Bulb....

Was in a 15w Fluorescent Desktop lamp i use over the clone dome..

Yes farmer#1 i did see that post thats what makes me think its overwatering they look just like that...
The only thing its only running 3 times a day for 30mins during the daylight hours.. 6am,2pm,10pm

Ok. this may be a stupid question, but HOW does one overwater a plant that's being grown hydroponically?

Its a valid question. Some hydro grows never submerge the roots into water for long periods, they basically get dripped on, flooded and then drained, or sprayed on a schedule. Other methods like DWC completely submerge the roots for the entire period, but have airstones providing oxygen to them. Thats the whole deal, getting oxygen to the roots, stagnant water quickly loses its oxygen and with no 0xygen the roots die.


As for the clones, tips look burnt a bit, but otherwise in good condition. Your PH might be a bit high, 5.6 is usually the norm. What plants are you growing? Looks very indica to me and they tend to start out with rounded leaves until they get going. Could be nothing more than the genetics of the plant.
