How Many Watts to Veg In 5x5 Tent

OK so I just set up my 5x5 tent. Currently I have 10 seedlings in Dixie cups about 3 days old. I have them under a solar storm 440 in veg at 230 watts. Problem is my basement is about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. With the led it gets no warmer than 65 with my inline fan on lowest possible speed.
Q1. If I keep the fan off can girls survive with just passive intake? Temp gets up to 70 without fan.
Q2. Whenever I transplant
how many watts of mh can I use to veg in the 5x5 tent. 1000, 750 or 500? I have a 1000 watt quantum dimmable mh HP's setup.
Q3. How far should I keep my SEEDLINGS away from the mh light at 500/750/1000? This is my first grow using HID lighting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using a 750 watt led to flower the light footprint is little larger for veg same light but Im flowering no prob with it same space as yours.

turn fan off, dont really need it yet if you need the warmth, or put it on a timer
500
far far far away
Thanks Diabolical. But how far is far, far, far away? Lol. If say 3 or 3 1/2 feet will it cause them to stretch. Maybe I'll start at about 3 1/2 feet and lower a little each day till they can handle it.

I agree you don't really need the fan to exhaust any moisture right now. I started growing with a bunch of cfls then switched to a magnetic 1000 mh. In a 4x4 tent. Keep it at least 3 feet away and do use the exhaust when you do.

You do want some internodal spacing. That 1000 will cause them to stack up really tight. Not to mention destroy your plants in a New York minute. I'd wait until they're 3 weeks old from breaking soil at least.

Seedlings really don't need a huge light. I've heard dimming ballasts can wear out your bulbs. I've got no personal experience with that.
