I said you are once, so that's patty cake? What is patty cake? Are you seriously referring to the game for little girls in grade school. I can't say I support mandatory voting, I'd probably support Nov. 2 being a national holiday or simply adding the line "none of the above" at the bottom of the ballot, that could even be beneficial as if you get more "none of the above" votes than simply people not voting like most don't today, a valid argument could be had about the political process. As it is now, dummies on both sides can point to the voter turnout and say "see, they're lazy, that's why my guy didn't win!" or any other bullshit excuse but never "he/she lost because he/she is a worse candidate..".

But lets be honest here, republicans don't like this because it would decrease their chances of winning an election and they know it, just like they don't want money out of politics by and large because without it, they can't win

Mandatory voting means it's likely we would have a Kardashian or the winner of last season's survivor in office.

Australia has mandatory voting and it's given rise to the term Donkey Vote in poli-sci circles.

To some, not voting is a statement in itself. Not everyone sits out because of laziness or lack of a ride.
