hey guys...first time grower..in 20 by 30 closet....600w hps...end of first week of germ bagseeds I had....I have the light right on em...their goin pretty good so far....should I back light off?? no burn on leaves so far....got like 15 sprout coming up...jus looking for females...I have some 10-10-10 plant food...jus hit them with that yesterday an today...any suggestion on what I can do better?? I know space is small,but im gonna try get whatever females I can get in there...temp running 75-80 with door open...light 18/6...jus gonna close door for dark...yes I know exhaust,carbon filter,,,smell.....but for now ...hows it look?? lmao...ty fellas

^^^ Nah, that's the plant problems thread he's joking about, meaning you're on the wrong path. I have a 600 hps 28 inches above full grown plants, so having one above seedlings is overkill. Also, your plants don't need fertilizer for the first couple weeks or more. I think a 250 watt hps or some LED would be better suited for smaller than 2 x 3 area. Good luck.

Lift that light to about 3-4 ft above those seedlings and water with no nutrients for next couple watering and should be cool. That light should be fine if you leave the door open, just make sure it don't get above 85 degrees fah. Heat is the only probably with that light for the grow, otherwise 600s are great. It's grow hard or go buy!!! But yea that light is going to miniturize your plants and planting more then on plant to a pot is a huge no no split them up into small solo cups for a few weeks then up pot and plants needs right now raise that light four to five feet abouve the plants , shit at this stage you could raise it to ceiling as plants start maturing lower light but at you won't need it ever closer then 12" , can't really tell Ya how to feed in soil as I grow hydro but I'm sure your tap water will be fine untill they have a ture set of leaves gl
