Breakdown/already have 4 small seedlings or whatever you call them at 4 inches
2of4/are in 2 gallon pots those are 5-6 inches the other 2 aren't even 4 inches yet
Soil/promix bx.worm castings.perlite
Nutrients/have powder like set grow.root.calcium.magnesium. bloom
Then liquid set iguana juice grow and bloom+over drive supplement
Lights/small 15 watt plant seedling starter fluorescent
And 1 600 watt mh+hps bulbs with dimmable ballast
Room/small 4x8 closet located in the house I'm fixing up and getting ready to live in.not painted white nor has reflective properties.old carpet still intact+spider webs
Ventilation/small heater with temp. throttle sits in front of closet while the door is closed at a 90 degree angle so there is some circulation. Need a fan and growing quite small for now so smell is not that big a deal for me.
Also currently using the small 15 watt light for all 4 the other light makes the humidity jumpnto the 60's thought that might cause big problemos...
Thanks to anyone with the patients and knowledge

Youre already head strong and seem to be adamant. Just be at ease and take percaution. Since youre fixing up the place you may want to whiten up your chosen grow area. 15w wont cover the 4 seedlings, you need atleast 250w of cfl. And you can bump it up to how ever many watts as long as you have good aeration or oscillation in your grow space. If you have a mh you should run that after a few weeks depending on how long you plan on vegging. 60-80% humidity not really a problem during veg period. I think you really got it and should just be mindful not to over stress yourself with both transitions of decking out the new place and training your grow. Youll be good. Happy Growing.

I alays laugh when I read, "small grow so odor not an issue" from a new grower as I think you don't realize the amount of odor. My baby clones stink up my room if not in their filtered area. Odor control is a must unless you want anyone in the house to kmnow whatbis going on.

I would cover the walls and floor with mylar ( emergency camping blankets), panda film, or refectix. Plants directly on carpet is not a good idea, especially with high humidity.

Go slow and small with nutes.

Water sparingly and wait 2 weeks till u use nutrient

I wouldn't have 4-6 inch s'lings in 2-gallon pots yet. By keeping the young'uns in 8-12 ounce cups the first couple of weeks you cut down on the time the plant spends sending out and growing the rootball big enough to support the plant. Plants won't grow much above ground until the roots reach the inside of the pot. When that happens the plant is able to finish the rootball while filling in greenery. So, try leaving the seedlings in a small cup until the seedling is twice as tall as the cup is wide. At that point there is a lot of green growth going on and you didn't spend an extra 2 weeks waiting to fill a larger pot with roots. It's just faster to transplant twice. This is assuming of course that you develop an easy flowing TP technique to avoid stressing the plants. Hint: when transplanting taller plants put the main stem between the 2 fingers you would hold a cigarette with and flip upside down so gravity is your friend.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Im still a novice and learning new things daily so i would hate to steer you wrong

what strain are you running? and what brand 600w setup?
Okay so I am trying to get the technique down so I'm using seeds from any dank I've purchased... Germinating before I plant too. Lights from home depot. I chose the ac hood rather than the open wing type.

ok:)

gives us something to work on.

what don't you know about growing cannabis?
1.) Method of knowing when to transplant 2.) When to lower and raise lights 3.) With 300 watts will it really take 16 to 18 days for veg 4.) Start on nutes by when 5.) Give full nutes by when 6.) 12 on 12 off or darkness abyss for 72 hours for flo 7.) When talking about vertical growth is it okay for stem under first true leaves to be very stretched 8.) How do I get big leaves with short stem 9.) Does that last Q matter
I have pics posted on one of my threads! Feel like I'm heading in the right direction but I've never done this before.... Thanks

You can send me a PM with any specific questions about growing in dirt. In the mean time...

Knowing what kind of plant you have going is an important first step in judging when to TP. I want short bushy plants so I TP twice not counting when the seedling first goes into dirt. They first go into a 12 oz. solo cup until they're twice as tall as the cup is wide. Then they go into a 7 inch square pot that's about 1 gallon. That's also when they get topped or FIM'd to keep them short. Then they go into a 3 gallon pot a week before they go to flower. If done carefully, more TP's will speed up the grow because you aren't spending so much time waiting for the roots to fill a big pot right off the bat. Take a look at all the newby posts asking why their seedlings are growing so slow. 9 times out of 10 the grower has put their new seedlings into a huge pot that guarantees wasted weeks waiting for the roots to grow out. Plants grow very little above ground until the roots pretty much fill the pot. So put them in tiny containers so the roots can fill out and you can start vegging.

Good luck, BigSteve.

While I don't see anything wrong with all this transplanting (unless you happen to stress the plant of course), I really don't see the need. When my plants get their first set of leaves, they go in 5 gallon pots and stay there the entire grow. Within 4 weeks they are 2 foot tall and switched to 12/12. I would say that is pretty fast growing. I've been doing it this way for years...never an issue, ever. I don't mean to bust on ya, BigSteve, but just adding my 2 cents.
